No. Chevrolet has not released or confirmed a new-generation Bel Air for the 2025 or 2026 model years in the United States. As of August 10, 2026, Chevrolet’s official U.S. lineup includes SUVs, trucks, electric vehicles, performance vehicles, vans, and commercial models—but no Bel Air and no conventional Chevrolet sedan. You can verify the current lineup on Chevrolet’s official vehicle page.
The photorealistic “2025 Chevy Bel Air” and “2026 Chevy Bel Air” images circulating online are digital renderings or fan concepts, not leaked production vehicles. There is no official MSRP, engine specification, trim walk, release date, order guide, VIN information, dealer inventory, or production confirmation for a new Bel Air.
The short answer: there is no 2025 or 2026 Chevy Bel Air to order
Chevrolet has not announced a modern Bel Air revival for either model year. That means shoppers cannot currently configure, order, or purchase a new 2025 or 2026 Bel Air from a Chevrolet dealer in the U.S.
| Claim | What can be verified |
|---|---|
| 2025 Chevrolet Bel Air | No confirmed U.S. production model, official pricing, specifications, or ordering information exists. |
| 2026 Chevrolet Bel Air | No confirmed U.S. production model exists. The widely shared images trace back to hypothetical digital-design videos. |
| Bel Air V8, electric powertrain, horsepower, or range figures | None are official. Online figures are speculative unless Chevrolet or GM publishes them directly. |
| Bel Air replacing the Camaro or Malibu | No evidence supports that claim. |
GM Authority reported in September 2024, citing its sources, that a Bel Air revival was not in GM’s product pipeline. That is useful industry reporting, but it is not the same as a formal public denial from General Motors. The most accurate conclusion is therefore that GM has not publicly confirmed a Bel Air revival and the available evidence does not support a 2025 or 2026 production vehicle.

Where the “2025 Bel Air” and “2026 Bel Air” images came from
The rumor appears to have been amplified primarily by enthusiast-design videos rather than by Chevrolet material.
- Q Cars published a video on September 4, 2024 titled 2025 Chevrolet Bel Air Revealed – The Return Of An Icon!!. Its description presents a “2025–2026 Chevrolet Bel Air” design, but does not cite Chevrolet, GM, a product announcement, or a source inside the company.
- Digimods published a video titled NEW 2026 CHEVROLET BEL AIR 2026? REDESIGN. The question mark is important: it is a hypothetical redesign presentation, not a manufacturer reveal.
Automotive coverage from Autoevolution identified the proposed car as a hypothetical design based on Q Cars renderings. SlashGear likewise concluded that the supposed new Bel Air was not a real production vehicle and described the visuals as AI-style renderings.
“Rendered” does not mean “leaked.” A designer can create a convincing image using 3D modeling, image compositing, generative tools, or a combination of techniques. Until the creator confirms the exact process, the safest description is digital rendering, fan concept, or AI-style concept video—not spy photography, an official concept car, or leaked Chevrolet material.

The timing created a plausible-sounding story. Chevrolet was removing two familiar nameplates from its U.S. lineup, while Dodge was introducing a new Charger that brought back a recognizable performance name in both electric and gasoline-powered forms. It was easy for online speculation to turn those facts into a story about a retro Chevrolet sedan.
Chevrolet Camaro: ending after 2024, but without a named successor
Chevrolet announced that the Camaro would end after the 2024 model year. In its official Camaro announcement, Chevrolet also said it was not announcing an immediate successor.
That announcement does not point to a Bel Air. It also does not establish that a future Camaro replacement will use a different historic name. A discontinued Camaro and an unconfirmed Bel Air are separate issues.
Chevrolet Malibu: production ended in 2024
GM ended Chevrolet Malibu production in November 2024 as the Fairfax, Kansas, plant was retooled for the next-generation Chevrolet Bolt, according to the Associated Press.

That is not evidence that the Malibu was replaced by a Bel Air. A 2025 Malibu shown in a dealer listing may represent remaining inventory or a used vehicle; it does not indicate that Chevrolet launched a new Bel Air sedan.
Dodge made a retro performance sedan seem more likely
Dodge’s new Charger helped fuel the idea that another American automaker might revive a historic nameplate. The Charger is offered with electric and gasoline powertrains, including four-door versions for the 2025/2026 period. Its existence makes a modern, stylish American sedan commercially conceivable, but it is not evidence of a Chevrolet Bel Air project. The official Dodge Charger FAQ describes Dodge’s own product.
What Chevrolet’s official U.S. lineup shows
As of August 10, 2026, Chevrolet’s official U.S. vehicle lineup has no Bel Air. It also has no conventional sedan listed alongside its SUVs, pickups, EVs, performance vehicles, vans, and commercial products. That live lineup check is more meaningful than relying only on older rumor coverage.
A real upcoming production vehicle normally produces several independent signals before customers can buy it:
The Tool Desk
Outbyte PC Repair FREEClear out junk files and repair common Windows errorsFree Scan →Outbyte Driver Updater FREEScan for outdated or missing drivers - takes under a minuteDriver Scan →- An official Chevrolet or GM announcement naming the vehicle and its intended market or model year.
- A Chevrolet product page or configuration tool showing at least basic equipment and availability information.
- Ordering or regulatory evidence, such as an order guide, VIN listing, certification information, dealer allocation, or a manufacturer filing.
- Credible spy photography linked to an identifiable GM development program rather than an artist’s studio image.
- Independent reporting with attributable sourcing that separates confirmed facts from projections and rumors.
The online Bel Air claims do not meet that standard. A detailed rendering, projected price, claimed horsepower figure, or headline using the word “official” is not a substitute for manufacturer documentation.
Are the Bel Air specifications online real?
No verified specifications exist for a 2025 or 2026 Chevrolet Bel Air because Chevrolet has not announced such a vehicle.
That includes claims about:
- a V8 engine or a specific horsepower rating;
- rear-wheel drive, all-wheel drive, or an electric drivetrain;
- an estimated MSRP or trim structure;
- an early reservation or order date;
- the size of the infotainment screens or interior layout;
- 0-to-60-mph performance;
- battery capacity, charging speed, or driving range; and
- a launch date or production location.
Those details may appear in concept-video descriptions or articles based on the renderings, but none can be presented as Chevrolet specifications. They are invented, projected, or artistically assumed unless a future GM source confirms them.
Could Chevrolet be planning a different sedan for later?
Possibly, but that rumor should not be confused with a 2025 or 2026 Bel Air.

In April 2026, Car and Driver reported that a next-generation Camaro, a Buick sedan, and a Cadillac CT5 could share an updated version of GM’s Alpha platform. The report said production could begin in fall 2027. Chevrolet and Buick declined to comment, and the report did not identify a Bel Air.
Other coverage, including CarsDirect, described a possible Chevrolet sporty model for roughly 2028 and said its name had not been decided. This remains unconfirmed future-product reporting. Even if GM eventually builds a Chevrolet sedan or next-generation Camaro, that would not validate the online Bel Air renderings or prove that Chevrolet selected the Bel Air name.
The responsible distinction is:
- Confirmed: the Camaro ended after the 2024 model year, and Malibu production ended in 2024.
- Reported but unconfirmed: GM may be considering future Camaro-related, Buick, and Cadillac sedans for the latter part of the decade.
- Not confirmed: a 2025 or 2026 Bel Air, or a Bel Air replacement for either the Camaro or Malibu.
Does Chevrolet sell sedans outside the United States?
Yes, Chevrolet’s lineup varies by country, so the U.S. answer should not be generalized worldwide. For example, Chevrolet Mexico lists a 2026 Aveo Sedan.
That market-specific product does not indicate a new Bel Air in the United States. A Chevrolet sedan sold in Mexico or another country may have different engineering, naming, equipment, and distribution from U.S.-market vehicles.
The original Bel Air and the 2002 concept are different vehicles
The original Chevrolet Bel Air was a full-size Chevrolet model sold in the United States through the 1975 model year. The 1957 Bel Air convertible is preserved in GM’s official Heritage Collection, which is one reason the name remains strongly associated with classic American styling.
Chevrolet also displayed a modern Bel Air convertible concept at the 2002 Detroit auto show. It never became a production car; MotorTrend’s history of the concept documents that earlier attempt.
Consequently, a photograph labeled “new Bel Air” may actually show one of several unrelated things:
- a restored 1955–1975 Bel Air;
- a modified classic or restomod;
- the 2002 Bel Air concept;
- a new digital rendering from Q Cars, Digimods, or another designer; or
- a computer-generated image reused by a low-quality automotive website.
How to check a future Bel Air claim
If Chevrolet ever announces a Bel Air, the claim should be easy to verify. Use this checklist before trusting a video or article:
Rank #4
- Brand new 1/24 scale diecast car model of 1955 Chevrolet Bel Air Green die cast car by Motormax. Brand new box. Real rubber tires.
- Start at Chevrolet.com. Look for a dedicated vehicle page, build-and-price tool, specifications, and current inventory.
- Check the GM newsroom. A new nameplate or major model launch should have a manufacturer announcement.
- Look for ordering evidence. A genuine production vehicle will eventually have an order guide, dealer allocation, VIN or certification information, or a clearly documented reservation process.
- Inspect the source of the images. Determine whether they are marked concept, redesign, CGI, rendering, or hypothetical. A thumbnail saying “revealed” does not change the image’s status.
- Separate fact from prediction. Words such as “could,” “expected,” “reportedly,” and “might” indicate uncertainty. They do not establish a launch.
AI-generated and heavily edited images often contain clues such as inconsistent Chevrolet badges, distorted body panels, impossible reflections, mismatched wheels, or interior details that do not align with current GM components. Those visual clues are not definitive proof by themselves, but they are a reason to look for a primary source rather than accepting the picture as a spy shot.
What can shoppers buy instead?
There is no new Bel Air alternative sitting on a Chevrolet order sheet, so the best option depends on what attracted you to the rumor:
- For a new Chevrolet: use the official Chevrolet lineup to compare the currently available SUVs, trucks, EVs, performance models, and other vehicles.
- For a modern American performance car: the new Dodge Charger is a real production vehicle with gasoline and electric powertrain options, unlike the online Bel Air concept.
- For a sedan: look at remaining or used Malibu inventory, used vehicles from other manufacturers, or market-specific Chevrolet products where applicable. A listed 2025 Malibu is not a Bel Air replacement.
- For classic Chevrolet style: shop for an actual 1955–1975 Bel Air, or a professionally built restomod. Check the title, body condition, frame, drivetrain, modifications, and documentation carefully; a classic car is a collector purchase, not a new-model substitute.
- For a future Chevrolet performance sedan: monitor official GM announcements and treat the reported 2027–2028 Camaro-related program as unconfirmed until Chevrolet publishes details.
Until that happens, anyone advertising a “new 2025 Bel Air” or “new 2026 Bel Air” should be able to provide a real Chevrolet VIN, factory order documentation, and an official product reference. A rendering or speculative video is not enough.
Frequently Asked Questions
Can I order a 2025 or 2026 Chevrolet Bel Air?
No. Chevrolet has not listed a 2025 or 2026 Bel Air for U.S. ordering, and there is no official MSRP, trim structure, VIN information, or dealer allocation for one.
Do these 3 things before closing this tab:
1Clear out junk files and repair common Windows errors2Scan for outdated or missing drivers - takes under a minute3Repair Windows errors before they cause bigger problemsAre the 2025 and 2026 Bel Air pictures official Chevrolet images?
No. The widely circulated images come from digital concept and redesign videos, including Q Cars and Digimods. They are not confirmed production images, spy photos, or official Chevrolet concept-car photography.
Is Chevrolet replacing the Malibu or Camaro with a Bel Air?
There is no evidence that Chevrolet selected the Bel Air name for either vehicle. The Camaro ended after 2024 without an announced immediate successor, and Malibu production ended in November 2024 as Fairfax was prepared for the next-generation Bolt.
Was there ever a modern Chevrolet Bel Air concept?
Yes. Chevrolet showed a modern Bel Air convertible concept at the 2002 Detroit auto show, but it never entered production. It is separate from the recent 2025 and 2026 digital renderings.
The Bottom Line
Bottom line: There is no confirmed U.S.-market 2025 or 2026 Chevrolet Bel Air. Treat the online images, prices, engine claims, and release dates as speculative concept material unless GM or Chevrolet publishes an official announcement and supporting product information. A possible later Camaro-related sedan is a separate, unconfirmed report and is not evidence of a Bel Air revival.
