As of October 8, 2026, Dodge and Stellantis have not confirmed an upcoming Barracuda in the official materials reviewed. Those sources provide no Barracuda release date, price, order window, or specifications. Treat claims about a new Dodge Barracuda as unconfirmed—not as an announced car.
Has Dodge announced a new Barracuda?
No Barracuda announcement appears in the official Dodge and Stellantis materials reviewed as of October 8, 2026. Stellantis’s Dodge brand page describes the published lineup, including 2026 Charger models and Durango performance models, but does not list a Barracuda. Dodge’s official news hub includes current lineup information and vehicle announcements, but the reviewed content contains no Barracuda announcement.
This describes what those published sources say; it does not prove Dodge could never announce a car by that name. A future announcement could change the picture.
What is—and is not—known about a Barracuda revival?
The official sources reviewed do not establish Barracuda-specific specifications, pricing, order availability, or launch timing. No engine, horsepower figure, body style, or release date for a new Barracuda is confirmed there. Without a manufacturer announcement, those details should be treated as speculation rather than purchase information.

CarCody published a separate assessment on August 17, 2026, reporting that it had found no verified 2026 Barracuda announcement, price, order bank, production allocation, or launch schedule as of August 13. That is dated secondary reporting, not a statement from Dodge or Stellantis. The primary basis for the current conclusion remains the official lineup and news materials.
Why do Barracuda rumors keep circulating?
The name has a real automotive history, which makes revival claims easy to imagine. Stellantis’s October 31, 2025 account of the 2026 Charger Drag Pak refers to 426 HEMI-powered Dodge Dart and Plymouth Barracuda package cars in historic drag racing. That reference documents historical race cars; it is not evidence of a new street-legal Barracuda.

Likewise, a fan rendering, speculative concept, old comeback rumor, or trademark reference alone does not establish that a vehicle is in production, certified, priced, available to order, or scheduled for launch. A credible confirmation would need to come from Dodge or Stellantis and state what is actually being announced.
Does the 2026 Dodge Charger have Barracuda specifications?
No. Dodge’s 2026 Charger announcement describes a Charger, and its specifications must not be attributed to a Barracuda. For example, Dodge says the 2026 Charger Scat Pack has 550 horsepower and 531 lb.-ft. of torque, with a targeted 0–60 mph time of 3.9 seconds. Those figures belong to that Charger model, not to a rumored Barracuda.

The Charger can serve as a confirmed current Dodge reference, but it is not a confirmed replacement or substitute for a Barracuda, and Dodge has not presented it as one in the reviewed material.

- A direct manufacturer announcement: Check Dodge’s news hub and Stellantis’s Dodge brand information for a model announcement.
- Specific, attributable details: A real launch notice should identify the vehicle and clarify which specifications, pricing, ordering, or timing information has actually been released.
- Evidence that matches the claim: Historical Barracuda references, Charger specifications, concept images, or unsourced posts do not confirm a new Barracuda.
The status here is limited to the official materials reviewed as of October 8, 2026. If Dodge or Stellantis announces a Barracuda later, that new information—not earlier speculation—would establish its details.
