Porsche has not confirmed a near-term launch of a distinct new combustion-powered Cayenne. It does say the current Cayenne generation will continue to be developed with combustion engines and hybrid drives well into the next decade. Porsche lists 2027 gasoline and plug-in hybrid Cayennes in the United States, while its announced fourth-generation Cayenne is electric.
Is a new combustion Cayenne coming soon?
Not according to the official announcements cited here. Porsche has confirmed that combustion and plug-in hybrid Cayennes will remain in the lineup, but it has not established a specific launch date, name or specifications for a redesigned combustion Cayenne. Its press kit says the company is “continuing to develop the current Cayenne generation with efficient combustion engines and hybrid drives well into the next decade.” That describes continued development of the current generation, not the announcement of a new one. Which Cayennes does Porsche list now?
Porsche’s United States model overview lists 2027 gasoline Cayenne and Cayenne E-Hybrid models. The page shows starting MSRPs of $89,900 for the gasoline Cayenne and $103,100 for the E-Hybrid; these are US-listed prices for those models, not prices for an announced future combustion Cayenne. How the electric Cayenne fits alongside combustion models
In July 2024, Porsche said the Cayenne’s fourth generation would be all-electric. The company also said the Cayenne would have three powertrain variants up to and beyond 2030. In November 2025, Porsche described the Cayenne Electric as complementing combustion and plug-in hybrid Cayennes, which would continue in parallel. In other words, the electric model was not announced as an immediate replacement for those offerings. Porsche Newsroom USA announcement

In September 2025, Porsche said a new SUV series positioned above the Cayenne—previously intended to be all-electric—would initially launch with combustion and plug-in hybrid powertrains because of market conditions.
