Invader’s October 2024 specifications list a 4,250 mm travel length, 1,850 mm width and 1,850 mm travel height; at camp, the stated height is 2,850 mm. Those figures describe a compact towable trailer, not a hard-walled duplex cabin.
How the Duo X changes from travel mode to camp
Setup combines powered roof movement with a manual tent extension. Invader’s specification sheet describes electro-pneumatic actuators that raise the roof and separate actuators that tilt it. The front portion of the tent then slides forward manually and is supported to complete the upper sleeping-area floor. The queen-size bed sits in this tented upper space.
Below, the entry area provides indoor standing room and access to the toilet and vanity basin. Outside, the fold-out kitchen has a work surface, dish storage, removable basins and a two-burner stove. A large awning shelters the cooking and dining area. The same sheet says the trailer is towable by vehicles with a tare of at least 1,500 kg. That is the manufacturer’s stated condition, not a vehicle-specific safety approval or a guarantee that every vehicle at that tare can tow a loaded Duo X. Before buying, compare the tow vehicle’s braked towing rating and gross combination rating with the trailer’s actual loaded mass, and check tongue/ball load and vehicle-maker restrictions. Local requirements also apply; the specification does not provide a complete compatibility chart.
What facilities and equipment are listed?
The October 2024 specification lists a 120 L water tank, hot and cold water, removable basins, a portable toilet, a vanity basin, and an exterior shower. It lists the shower cubicle and patio side-wall set as optional extras, so confirm which items are included in the particular build and quote.

The listed electrical equipment includes two 100 Ah batteries, a 375 W inverter, a solar controller and charging equipment, plus 220 V, 12 V and USB outlets. These are figures from Invader’s October 2024 sheet; current builds may differ, so ask the manufacturer or dealer to confirm the latest specification and supplied configuration.
What fridge fits the nose-box slide?
Invader’s October 2024 sheet gives the maximum fridge-slide dimensions as 545 mm high × 845 mm long × 505 mm wide. New Atlas names SnoMaster and National Luna as examples of brands, but that does not establish that every model from either brand will fit. Check the exact fridge’s external dimensions, lid and ventilation clearance, and electrical requirements before purchase.

Prices are date- and seller-specific. New Atlas reported about R408,000 for a 2024 base Duo X listing, while noting that Invader did not list pricing in its article. A Cape Town dealer page currently lists a starting price of R442,000 for the Duo X; that is a volatile asking price, not a guaranteed quote or proof of stock.
