Is the INMOTION S1F a good long-range scooter for heavier riders? It has a manufacturer-rated maximum load of 308 lb (140 kg), but its advertised range varies across official pages: up to 59 miles on the US product page, 95 km on the EU page and 55 miles in INMOTION’s service-center catalog. Those are manufacturer claims, not independently measured range results, and none establishes how far a rider near the load limit will travel on a charge.
What the S1F’s load rating means
INMOTION lists a maximum load of 308 lb (140 kg) on its US S1F product page and its EU S1F product page. Treat that as the published upper limit, not a promise of unchanged speed, range, or handling at that weight. Include clothing, bags and accessories when considering the total load.
The rating makes the S1F worth considering for riders who need a higher stated capacity, but it does not by itself show that the scooter will fit a particular rider or feel comfortable. INMOTION markets it for “heavy riders”; that is the company’s positioning, not an independent evaluation.
Range claims differ by official page

These figures should not be treated as a single verified real-world range. The pages do not disclose a test protocol that would let a buyer translate their claims into expected range for a specific rider, route, speed or weather. In particular, they do not establish range for someone near the 308 lb limit.

Power, speed, tires and brakes
The US product page lists a 675 Wh battery, 500 W rated motor power, 1000 W maximum power and a 25 mph top speed. The EU page lists 40 km/h. These are manufacturer-published specifications, not independently verified performance measurements. The US page lists 10-inch tires and electronic and drum brakes; the EU page specifies 10-inch tubeless pneumatic tires, front drum braking and rear electronic braking.
Brake descriptions are not consistent across the official sources: INMOTION’s service-center catalog lists front drum and rear disc brakes, while the EU product page says front drum and rear electronic. Check the exact regional unit’s specification before purchase rather than assuming the descriptions are interchangeable.

Fit and comfort: useful dimensions, not a guarantee
For riders evaluating fit, the US page gives a 50.2-inch handlebar and a deck measuring 7.1 by 5.3 inches. It also lists front and rear suspension. These dimensions and design features can help a rider assess whether the scooter may suit their stance and reach, but they do not prove comfort for a particular height, foot size or body shape. If possible, assess the riding position in person before committing.
Weight, folding size and charging
The US page lists net weight at 52.8 lb and unfolded dimensions of 49.8 × 48.0 × 21.2 inches; folded dimensions are 49.8 × 21.3 × 21.2 inches. The EU page lists net weight as 20.8 kg. At roughly 53 lb by the US specification, portability is a consideration if you need to lift the scooter into a car or carry it up stairs.

The EU page lists charging at 7 hours with one charger or 3.5 hours with two. It does not establish that two chargers are included or supported in every regional package, so verify the specific SKU and included accessories with the seller. The US page lists an IP54 body rating; this is a published rating, not a substitute for checking the manufacturer’s usage and care guidance.

The cited official pages do not provide independently measured S1F range, hill-climbing performance, braking distance or durability results. They also do not resolve how comfort varies by rider, or how range changes under heavier loads. A useful comparison with another scooter should therefore prioritize evidence that matches your use rather than relying on the biggest advertised range figure.

- Look for independently measured range under a disclosed rider weight and route, if available.
- Check deck dimensions and handlebar height against your own stance and reach.
- Confirm brake configuration for the exact region and unit.
- Account for the scooter’s weight, charger count, charging time and regional package contents.
- Check local service and replacement-part availability. INMOTION’s service-center catalog lists S1-series items, including a model-specific S1F brake lever with bell; that listing alone does not establish broad parts availability or repair difficulty.
