Its official website currently claims a 45 kW dual-motor system, 0–100 km/h in 3.5 seconds, a 250 km range and 70% charge in 30 minutes. Those figures are manufacturer claims, not independently demonstrated results. Ichiban is asking people to register interest for future release dates and pricing; a confirmed price, delivery date or road approval is not established.
What is the Ichiban motorcycle?
Ichiban is an electric motorcycle concept with styling inspired by the visual language of the motorcycle in Akira. New Atlas reported on February 14, 2025, that Ukrainian industrial designer Ivan Zhurba drew on the original manga’s design and updated it for a modern electric bike. The resemblance is an inspiration, not evidence of an official Akira replica or licensed tie-in. New Atlas’s design report describes the bike’s silhouette and red-and-white livery as key points of reference.
Which design details evoke Akira?
New Atlas describes a broad, angular body, a distinctive swingarm arrangement and red-and-white paint that recall the iconic fictional motorcycle. Other details it notes include solid, spoke-free hubcaps, a pill-shaped LED headlamp, a linear rear light and a compact dashboard with animated visuals. These are descriptions of the design, not confirmation that every pictured feature will appear on a production model.
Ichiban’s own site frames the styling around Kanso, a Japanese principle associated with simplicity. It also shows visualizations and describes ABS and traction control for varied weather. Those are manufacturer statements; the available information does not establish completed testing or certification for those systems.

What specifications does Ichiban claim?
The figures below are published on Ichiban’s official site as manufacturer claims. The site does not provide independent test results or enough detail to treat them as verified real-world performance.

Ichiban’s specification page says, “The 45kW power dual motor system enables 0-100 km/h in 3.5 seconds.” The stated figures do not specify test conditions, and the charging claim does not identify the starting charge level or charging equipment. Treat them as announced specifications, not a promise of what a rider will achieve on the road.

There is also a difference between the current manufacturer figures and earlier coverage. New Atlas’s February 2025 report cited 5 kW and described acceleration to 60 mph; the current official page states 45 kW and acceleration to 100 km/h. These are different published descriptions, so they should not be combined into a single performance record. For the current manufacturer claims, see Ichiban’s official website.
Can you buy it, and is it road legal?
Ichiban’s official site asks visitors to register interest to receive updates about release dates and pricing, and says the company is seeking support to scale production. The information available there does not confirm a retail price, order route or delivery schedule.

The site’s references to ABS and traction control are not proof of road approval. Anyone considering the bike should wait for market-specific confirmation of approval and availability before assuming it can be used on public roads.

Search results have surfaced references to physical collectibles, but no specific current Amazon listing was verified. Check the exact product, seller and availability before treating a collectible as a recommended purchase.
