Hyundai Motor America’s January 2024 U.S. sales report names 11 model families: Elantra, IONIQ 5, IONIQ 6, Kona, NEXO, Palisade, Santa Cruz, Santa Fe, Sonata, Tucson, and Venue. That is a useful snapshot of the models Hyundai reported in the United States, not a complete 2024 model-year catalog or a guarantee that every version was available at every dealer.
Hyundai’s 2024 U.S. model families
The lineup is easier to navigate by vehicle type and powertrain than as one alphabetical list. Hyundai’s January 2024 report groups models in its sales table; the categories below orient shoppers but do not provide a full trim or specification comparison.
| Shopper-oriented group | Models named in Hyundai’s January 2024 report | What the available information establishes |
|---|---|---|
| Sedans | Elantra, Sonata | Both appear as model families in Hyundai Motor America’s January 2024 U.S. sales table. The report does not provide a full trim breakdown. |
| Crossovers and SUVs | Venue, Kona, Tucson, Santa Fe, Palisade | All five appear in the sales table. It does not establish comparative size, seating, cargo capacity, or equipment. |
| Pickup-style vehicle | Santa Cruz | The name appears in the table; the report does not provide its classification or specifications. |
| Electrified and alternative-fuel models | IONIQ 5, IONIQ 6, NEXO; Kona EV, Santa Fe PHEV, and Tucson PHEV are also referenced | The report separately names IONIQ 5 and IONIQ 6 and mentions activity for Kona EV and Santa Fe and Tucson plug-in hybrids. It does not supply a complete powertrain matrix or explain NEXO’s availability or fueling infrastructure. |
Hyundai’s January report names 11 model families in its model table, but that count should not be read as a complete list of every 2024 configuration. For example, the same report refers to electrified versions separately from the model-family names.
What the body-style groups mean for shoppers
Sedans: Elantra and Sonata
Elantra and Sonata are the sedan choices identified in the report. The source set does not establish their comparative dimensions, equipment, pricing, or fuel economy. For Sonata specifically, Hyundai’s 2024 North American announcement identifies three powertrain families: a 2.5-liter gasoline engine, a turbocharged 2.5-liter gasoline engine, and a 2.0-liter hybrid. Those details apply to Sonata, not the whole sedan range. Hyundai’s 2024 Sonata announcement.

Crossovers and SUVs: Venue, Kona, Tucson, Santa Fe, and Palisade
These five names appear in the January U.S. table. That confirms their presence in Hyundai’s reported lineup activity during that period, but the table is not a buyer’s guide to passenger capacity, cargo room, trim equipment, or which model best fits a particular household. Compare the exact model year and trim you are considering using its official specifications and local dealer inventory.
Santa Cruz: pickup-style member
Santa Cruz is included in the January model table. The available report does not give specifications or explicitly classify it, so verify its body style, configuration, capability, and equipment in the relevant 2024 model materials rather than inferring them from the sales listing.

Electrified and alternative-fuel choices
Hyundai’s report lists IONIQ 5 and IONIQ 6 as distinct models and also references Kona EV and Santa Fe and Tucson PHEV activity. These mentions establish that Hyundai reported those electrified model lines or variants; they do not establish a comprehensive 2024 availability map, charging performance, electric range, or trim-level specifications. NEXO also appears in the table, but the cited report does not explain its fuel technology, where it was offered, or whether fueling infrastructure was accessible to a particular buyer.
A later Hyundai 2025 model-year guide lists Tucson ICE, HEV, and PHEV; Santa Fe ICE and HEV; Kona ICE and Kona Electric; NEXO hydrogen fuel cell; and Elantra ICE and HEV. This is explicitly later-year context, not proof of every 2024 version or of 2024 regional availability. Hyundai’s 2025 model-year guide.

What the sales figures do—and do not—tell you
Hyundai Motor America reported 47,543 total U.S. vehicle sales for January 2024, 9% fewer than January 2023. That is a monthly company sales figure, not a ranking of the 11 named models or a measure of dealer inventory. Hyundai Motor America’s CEO, Randy Parker, described the period as a difficult retail month, citing economic challenges and interest rates; that was his contemporaneous assessment, not an independent market analysis. Hyundai Motor America’s January 2024 U.S. sales release.
For longer-period context, Hyundai Motor America reported 801,195 U.S. vehicle sales during 2023, 11% above 2022. That annual total is not a 2024 forecast or evidence of current demand. Hyundai Motor America’s 2023 U.S. sales report.

How to compare actual 2024 trims
The model list is a starting point, not enough information to choose a vehicle. Before comparing two candidates, use the model-year-specific materials for the exact versions sold in your area. The available reporting does not provide a consistent table of 2024 prices, incentives, trim equipment, EPA figures, electric range, safety ratings, towing, or live inventory.
