Is it a Maybach or Rolls-Royce rival?
Coverage positions the Maextro S800 against established ultra-luxury sedans, including the Mercedes-Maybach S-Class. That is a statement about intended competitive territory, not a measured equivalence. The available figures do not establish comparable build quality, reliability, service support, ownership costs or customer experience against Mercedes-Maybach or Rolls-Royce models.

A meaningful comparison needs exact models and markets, then the same evidence for each: price, powertrain and output, dimensions, rear-seat layout, verified performance, warranty and service coverage, and local availability. How does the S800 Grand Design differ?
In June 2026, Maextro introduced the S800 Grand Design, a separate four-seat derivative with an announced guide price starting at 1.388 million yuan, according to CnEVPost. Do not treat that figure as the price of the standard S800 or combine it with the 2025 launch range. CnEVPost reported that deliveries were expected to begin in late August 2026; whether deliveries began has not been verified.
