Do not assume that an old live-streaming guide still applies. The 109th race was a 2025 event, and the services, prices, promotions, channel lineups, and replay rights described below were tied to that event window. They are not guarantees of current availability or pricing.

United States: how viewers streamed FOX
Because FOX carried the 2025 race, U.S. viewers without cable needed a service that carried their local FOX affiliate. A broadband or internet subscription by itself did not provide access to locked network video; the relevant question was whether the service was an eligible TV provider carrying FOX in the viewer’s location.
During the event, reporting identified Sling TV Blue and Fubo as live-TV streaming options. The prices reported at the time were:
- Sling TV Blue: $45.99 per month, with a first-month promotion reported for the event period.
- Fubo Pro: $84.99 per month, with a first-month promotion after a seven-day trial reported at the time.
Those are historical May 2025 prices, not current quotes. Channel availability and local FOX coverage can vary by ZIP code, so a service’s sign-up page should be checked before paying. A provider may offer FOX in one market but not another.

The Associated Press reported that the Indianapolis local blackout was lifted because the race was expected to sell out. That exception applied to the 2025 event and should not be treated as a permanent rule for future Indianapolis 500 races.
Why Peacock was not the right U.S. answer for the 2025 race
Many older Indy 500 guides say to watch through Peacock because Peacock was the U.S. streaming home under the previous NBC Sports arrangement. That information does not describe the 109th running.
The official 2025 Indianapolis 500 schedule identifies FOX as the race broadcaster, and the race was shown on the FOX broadcast network. The schedule does not identify Peacock as the U.S. race broadcaster. Therefore, subscribing to Peacock was not a verified way to stream the 2025 race live in the United States.

This distinction matters because an internet provider, an eligible TV provider, and a streaming service are not interchangeable. NBC’s TV-provider authentication explanation describes that difference, but it should not be read as evidence that Peacock carried the 2025 FOX broadcast.

United Kingdom
The live 2025 race broadcaster in the UK was Sky Sports F1. NOW Sports was also reported as a streaming option for viewers who did not want a traditional Sky subscription.
INDYCAR’s 2025 territory document listed the UK as follows:
- Practice: live
- Qualifying: live
- Race: seven-day delay on INDYCAR LIVE
- Highlights: available
- INDY NXT: available
In other words, INDYCAR LIVE was not the live-race substitute in the UK for this event; Sky Sports held the live route identified in the territory information.
Australia
Stan Sport was the live streaming option identified for Australian viewers. It required both a regular Stan subscription and the Stan Sport add-on.
For the 2025 event, reported pricing was A$15 per month for Stan Sport on top of a Stan plan starting at A$12 per month. Those figures were event-time prices and may no longer be current. INDYCAR’s territory information listed the race on INDYCAR LIVE with a seven-day delay rather than as a live Australian stream.
Canada
Canadian viewers could watch the live race through TSN. The 2025 listing named TSN 4, TSN 5, and TSN+ as outlets.

TSN+ was reported at C$8 per month or C$80 per year during the event period. Those prices are historical. Confirm the current TSN package and whether the relevant channel or stream is included before subscribing.

INDYCAR’s international coverage was distributed across more than 200 countries and territories. The official international broadcaster page directs viewers to the detailed 2025 Countries and Territories document.

Use the Race column—not merely the practice, qualifying, or highlights column—to determine whether your country had live coverage. If your country had no listed broadcaster, INDYCAR LIVE was the official streaming product for territories where it was offered. What time was the 2025 race?
The official Indianapolis 500 weekend schedule listed the race broadcast from 12:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. Eastern on Sunday, May 25, 2025. The scheduled race start was 12:45 p.m. Eastern.
Those times describe the 109th running and are useful when checking an archived broadcast or replay. They are not a schedule for the next Indy 500.

A VPN is not an official authorization method for bypassing sports-streaming territory restrictions. Some third-party guides recommend using one to appear to be in another country, but that approach can violate a provider’s terms and may fail even when the connection itself works.
Services can use account-country checks, payment-country requirements, device location, GPS or browser location signals, and VPN-blocking systems. NBC’s current FAQ says its live streams are restricted to the United States and U.S. territories because of broadcasting regulations. That information does not create an international route to the 2025 Indy 500, and it should not be interpreted as an endorsement of VPN circumvention.

The reliable and rights-compliant approach is to use the broadcaster or official streaming service assigned to your actual country, or the official INDYCAR replay when it is available there.

- The race is missing: Confirm that you are looking for the 2025 full-race replay, not a live 2025 event listing.
