How U.S. viewers watched the 2025 F1 season
The official 2025 U.S. television schedule placed Formula 1 races on ESPN, ESPN2, and ABC, with listed times given in Eastern Time. ABC carried selected marquee races, including Miami, Monaco, Canada, the United States Grand Prix in Austin, and Mexico. Other races were divided between ESPN and ESPN2.
Race coverage was not the same thing as the complete weekend schedule. Practice, qualifying, Sprint sessions, and replays could have different start times, channels, or digital availability. The Australian and Las Vegas races also appeared as Saturday-night U.S. listings because of the local timing of those events.

Which 2025 weekends had Sprint races?
Six rounds used the Sprint format in 2025:
- Chinese Grand Prix — Shanghai
- Miami Grand Prix — Miami International Autodrome
- Belgian Grand Prix — Spa-Francorchamps
- United States Grand Prix — Circuit of the Americas in Austin
- São Paulo Grand Prix — Interlagos
- Qatar Grand Prix — Lusail
A Sprint weekend adds competitive track activity beyond the standard Grand Prix format. The exact Friday and Saturday running order is event-specific, so there was no single timetable that accurately covered all six rounds. The relevant event schedule was needed for the precise practice, qualifying, Sprint, and Grand Prix times.
Could you stream F1 with F1 TV Pro?
F1 TV Pro was an official streaming option in selected territories during 2025, not a universal replacement for the U.S. ESPN and ABC arrangement. In supported locations, the service offered live Formula 1 sessions and additional viewing features such as:
- Onboard cameras
- Team radio
- Live timing and data
- Session replays and highlights
- Documentaries and archive programming
F1 TV materials also described a Premium tier with live Grands Prix, Sprints, qualifying, and practice, plus features including 4K Ultra HD/HDR and personalized Multiview on selected devices. Plan names, availability, device support, and rights can change by location and season.
Supported viewing methods listed by F1 included web browsers, mobile apps, Apple TV, Roku, Chromecast, Google TV, and Amazon Fire TV. That list describes platform support—not a guarantee that every plan or feature worked on every model. Check the applicable territory, plan, device, and video-quality requirements before subscribing.

- Ask to control your TV with your voice, and quickly cast your photos, videos, music and more from your phone, tablet, or PC to your TV with Chromecast built in
- Built-in Virtual Assistant – just press the mic button on the remote to get what you want
- Built-in content and entertainment including YouTube, Play Movies & TV, and more
- Support for thousands of Apps on the Play Store
- 2K resolution TV streaming
For viewers outside the United States, F1 TV Pro could be especially useful when it was available locally and when the viewer wanted onboard feeds, radio, timing data, or more control than a conventional television broadcast. For U.S. viewers following the historical 2025 schedule, ESPN, ESPN2, and ABC remained the primary documented broadcast outlets.
A physical companion for the 2025 season
If you want something to keep after the races ended, The Formula One Yearbook 2025 is a natural companion to a season-watching guide. The publisher describes it as fully updated for the 2025 season and containing more than 1,000 sets of complete Grand Prix results. It is a physical reference and collectible—not a way to watch live races.

How to check a race time without getting caught by time-zone changes
- Identify the session. A Grand Prix, qualifying session, Sprint, and practice session can all have separate listings.
- Check the event-specific schedule. The calendar’s weekend window is not necessarily the U.S. broadcast date.
- Confirm the U.S. time zone. The ESPN schedule used Eastern Time; viewers elsewhere in the United States needed to convert it.
- Check the network or service. A race could be on ESPN, ESPN2, or ABC, while digital access could vary by event and subscription.
- Look for schedule changes. Weather, red flags, programming adjustments, or other race-weekend developments can affect the displayed time.
Bottom line
The 2025 F1 season ran from the Australian Grand Prix on March 16 through Abu Dhabi on December 7 and included 24 races. In the United States, ESPN, ESPN2, and ABC carried the documented race schedule. F1 TV Pro offered richer feeds and data in selected countries, but it was territory-dependent. Because the season is over and rights have changed since 2025, use a current Formula 1 broadcast listing—not this historical schedule—when planning to watch a newer season.
