1. Identify the part and document its condition
Start with the item itself, not a guess based on the vehicle it came from. Record the part name, brand, and manufacturer or OEM part number if available. 2. Confirm which vehicles it fits

Choose a marketplace that accepts your type of part and reaches the buyers you want. eBay Motors is one documented option for parts and accessories. Before committing to any channel, check its current category rules, fees, shipping expectations, compatibility tools, and return terms. Those details differ by platform and may change, so do not assume another marketplace offers eBay’s tools or protections.
4. Create a precise listing
Select the correct category and make the listing title and description specific enough for a buyer to distinguish your item from similar parts. 5. Set a price that accounts for costs
Estimate what you will keep after the costs of acquiring the part, packing it, shipping it, and handling the possibility of a return. Check comparable listings for context, but make your own calculation rather than treating another seller’s asking price as proof of a sale price.

On eBay, fees vary with factors such as category, price, listing format, optional upgrades, and seller conduct. Review the current eBay selling-fees schedule for your account and listing; a single universal percentage would not reliably describe every seller’s costs.
6. Plan fulfillment before publishing
Work out how you will deliver the item before accepting an order. Consider whether it can be packed securely, how its size and weight affect shipping costs, and whether the carrier you plan to use has restrictions that apply to it. Do not quote a shipping price or promise a delivery method until you have checked the item’s measurements and the carrier’s current terms.

7. Explain fitment and returns clearly
State the compatibility details you can support and describe return terms plainly. Buyers need enough information to assess whether the part fits their vehicle; unclear or overbroad fitment claims can create disputes.
