Maintain a twin-turbo V12 according to the service schedule for its exact make, model, model year, market and engine variant. There is no universal interval, oil specification or repair procedure for every twin-turbo V12. Start by identifying the vehicle and finding its matching owner’s guide; use a qualified marque specialist for work that requires model-specific procedures or diagnostic equipment.
Find the schedule for your exact vehicle
“Twin-turbo V12” describes an engine layout, not one standardized engine. Service intervals, approved fluids, filters and workshop procedures can differ between vehicles, so do not apply another manufacturer’s schedule to yours.

- Identify the vehicle: record its make, model, model year, market and engine variant.
- Find the matching owner’s guide: use the manufacturer’s documentation portal or ask a dealer or qualified specialist for the correct guide. Aston Martin, for example, provides an official owner’s-guide portal.
- Follow the maintenance schedule and instructions in that guide: check the specified intervals, approved fluids, inspection requirements and responses to warning messages for your vehicle.
Keep up with scheduled servicing
Engine oil and filter
Use the oil specification and service interval stated for your vehicle, and renew the oil filter when the schedule calls for it. An Aston Martin V12 English Owner/Service Handbook surfaced as published approximately 2015 states, “Vehicle servicing is every 10,000 mile or 12 month, which ever occurs first,” and includes renewing engine oil and filter and checking for engine-oil leaks. That is an example from that handbook—not a general interval for all twin-turbo V12s. Confirm that the handbook applies to your specific car before using its schedule. Read the Aston Martin handbook.

Fluids, leaks and air filters
Check fluid levels and inspect for leaks as directed by the owner’s guide; use only the specified fluids. Air-cleaner-element renewal appears at a later scheduled service in the cited Aston Martin handbook, but the evidence does not establish a universal replacement interval. Follow the schedule for your own vehicle rather than estimating one from this example.

Leave model-specific repairs to the right procedure
Twin-turbo V12 cooling systems and turbocharger-related work can require vehicle-specific procedures. For example, an Aston Martin Technical Repair System page for the DBS 19MY identifies a 5.2-litre twin-turbo V12 and describes coolant bleeding as a workshop operation involving draining and refilling coolant and checking the system. It is repair information for that model, not a general DIY instruction for other vehicles. See the DBS 19MY coolant-bleed operation.
If a warning appears, a leak is found, or a repair involves the cooling system or turbochargers, consult the exact owner’s guide and a qualified specialist familiar with the vehicle. Do not substitute generic torque values, fluid types or repair steps for the manufacturer’s procedure.
