Do these 3 things before closing this tab:
1Scan for outdated or missing drivers - takes under a minute2Clear out junk files and repair common Windows errors3Fix the driver behind crashes, sound loss and screen glitchesStart with the Ranchero’s model year and country or market, then record its trim, engine, transmission and the part’s identifying details. Use those specifics to search a year-matched catalog or manual, and confirm fitment and availability with the seller before ordering. “Falcon Ranchero” can refer to different vehicle contexts: U.S. supplier catalogs and Argentine Ford Falcon owner manuals do not establish that parts or procedures interchange.
Identify your Ranchero before searching
A model name alone is not enough to establish whether a part fits. Before contacting a supplier or posting a question, gather:
- Model year and country or market
- Trim, engine and transmission
- The part’s location on the vehicle
- Any stamped or cast number, along with clear photographs and measurements
Compare this information with year-specific identification material, catalog diagrams and the seller’s application details. The Falcon Club of America technical library includes Ranchero production and identification-related resources.
Search specialist catalogs and supplier directories
Browse by year, then by system
Classic Industries’ Ranchero catalog organizes parts across 1957–1979, with links grouped by year or year range. Obsolete & Classic Auto Parts’ interactive Falcon catalog covers categories including brakes, steering and suspension, engine, transmission, electrical, body and interior. Its catalog page says customers can call for help locating parts; use that support if the catalog does not resolve an application question.
#1 Best Overall
Catalog listings and diagrams are starting points, not proof that a particular part fits your vehicle or is currently in stock. Give the seller the year and configuration, ask them to confirm the exact application, and check availability before ordering.
Use directories as leads, not inventory guarantees
The Ford Falcon Registry supplier directory lists vendors that describe specialties such as Falcon and Ranchero parts, mechanical components, upholstery, reproduction parts and disc-brake conversions. Treat it as a way to identify possible sources, not as a live inventory feed or an endorsement. The Registry says it is not associated with Ford Motor Company.

FalconParts’ sitemap shows examples of listed resources and product categories, including shop manuals, wiring diagrams, master parts catalogs and Ranchero-specific items such as a 1966–1970 fuel sending unit. A sitemap establishes that these product types are listed, not that any item is in stock today.
Choose the reference that matches the job
| Reference | Best suited to | What to check |
|---|---|---|
| Owner’s manual | Owner operation and maintenance information | Do not assume it contains workshop procedures or wiring diagrams. |
| Shop manual | Repair procedures | Match the manual to the vehicle’s year and configuration. |
| Master parts catalog | Original part numbers, diagrams and catalog applications | Confirm the year range and the specific Ranchero application. |
| Wiring diagram | Electrical circuit reference | Use a diagram applicable to the vehicle rather than assuming another year’s wiring matches. |
FalconParts lists Ford master parts catalogs for 1960–64 and 1965–72, as well as shop manuals for multiple Falcon years. Forel Publishing’s catalog descriptions also include Ford catalogs covering 1960–64 and 1965–72 applications that include Falcon and Ranchero. Those ranges do not necessarily cover every Ranchero; check the exact year and market before choosing a reference.

For Argentine Ford Falcon owner-manual information
Todo Falcon’s manual archive describes Argentine Ford Falcon owner manuals for 1962, 1963, 1966, 1970, 1973, 1978 and 1982. The site says most cover Sedan, Rural, Ranchero and Sprint descriptions, and that an individual Ranchero manual existed for its launch year. It also says these owner manuals do not provide mechanical repair details or electrical diagrams. For repair work, seek a dedicated workshop manual or a knowledgeable local specialist rather than relying on an owner’s manual.
Ask the owner community for identification help
The Falcon Club of America technical library links to technical advisors, a technical chat area, parts-for-sale listings, wanted messages and local chapters. Its resources include material on Ranchero production and service topics. When asking for help, include the year, market and configuration, plus photos, measurements and any part number. Ask members to confirm the application; do not assume a part for a Falcon car also fits a Ranchero body application.

The club and manual resources can help with technical questions, but they do not verify a particular local repair shop. Search in your area and ask prospective shops whether they have experience with classic Fords, can source the needed parts, and regularly handle the relevant system—such as electrical, drivetrain, brakes, body or trim. For safety-critical or specialized work, use a qualified mechanic and a manual matched to the vehicle’s year and configuration.
