The “more than $17,000 off” figure was a historical, conditional lease offer—not a discount every 2024 Kia EV6 buyer could claim. CarsDirect reported a maximum of $17,100 on a 2024 EV6 GT-Line AWD: $16,100 in lease cash plus $1,000 in conquest cash for Tesla owners. The offer was reported on September 10, 2024, and is not a current deal.
What the $17,100 EV6 offer included
CarsDirect’s September 10, 2024 report described a maximum lease discount made up of two incentives: $16,100 in lease cash and $1,000 in Tesla-owner conquest cash. The reported maximum applied to the 2024 Kia EV6 GT-Line AWD, not every trim or drivetrain. The lease cash varied by region, and the additional conquest cash was conditional on Tesla ownership. Read CarsDirect’s dated offer report.
That distinction matters: the headline was a maximum combined incentive, not a universal $17,100 reduction in the purchase price. CarsDirect attributed the incentives to Kia dealer bulletins; the underlying bulletin was not independently available in the cited material.
Why the $179 monthly example did not tell the whole story
CarsDirect also cited a regional example of $179 per month for 24 months, with $3,999 due at signing. It was a dated lease example, not a current quote or a guarantee of the total cost for every customer. A low monthly payment alone does not show whether a lease is inexpensive.

Before comparing it with another offer, get the complete written lease terms and check:
- The exact trim and drivetrain, and the agreed selling price.
- Lease term and annual mileage allowance, including the cost of excess mileage if stated in the contract.
- All amounts due at signing, including any first payment, taxes, fees, or other charges.
- Whether the quoted payment includes taxes and fees, and whether you qualify for each incentive.
- The total of scheduled payments plus the amount due at signing, while accounting for any fees or charges not included in those figures.
The 0% APR offer was separate
CarsDirect separately reported a 0% APR financing offer for up to 72 months beginning September 4, 2024. That was a purchase-financing offer, not an additional part of the lease discount. Do not add it to the $17,100 lease figure or treat the two offers as interchangeable: compare financing by its APR, term, selling price, and total amount paid.

Do not treat the reported offer as available now
The $17,100 figure describes an offer reported in September 2024. Kia’s offers page showed 2026 EV6 promotions when accessed on October 8, 2026, rather than an active 2024 offer; promotions vary by location and change over time. A past offer report cannot establish that a dealer can still provide those terms. Check Kia USA’s current offers by location.
If you are shopping for a used or remaining-stock 2024 EV6, ask the dealer for an itemized quote and confirm any incentive directly. Do not assume a past lease incentive applies to a used vehicle, a purchase, a different trim, or a customer who does not meet its eligibility conditions.

Model-year and tax-credit caveats
Kia America’s October 2, 2023 dealer letter lists 2024 EV6 variants including Light Long-Range RWD and AWD, continued Light RWD, and the GT. It gives the 2024 EV6 GT an EPA range of 218 miles. These model details help distinguish the vehicle, but they do not change the eligibility rules of a specific lease promotion. See Kia America’s 2024 model-year letter.
Do not apply a later model year’s federal clean-vehicle credit listing retroactively. The IRS table released March 17, 2025 identifies 2025 Kia EV6 models; that listing does not establish eligibility for a 2024 EV6 or for a transaction made at another time. Check the IRS rules and eligible-vehicle information for the relevant model year and transaction before relying on a credit. View the IRS clean-vehicle credit table.
