What Octopus Fleet public charging includes
Octopus Energy launched Octopus Fleet on 18 February 2026 as a mix-and-match service for business fleets, combining public charging with options such as home charging, reimbursement and payment cards. Its public-charging component uses the Electroverse network. Octopus Energy’s launch announcement described the wider service; the current public-charging page sets out the offer currently listed.
Drivers use the Electroverse app and an account-linked RFID charge card to access participating public charge points. The business receives consolidated monthly billing, and fleet administrators can manage drivers, review charging summaries and download reports. Octopus currently advertises access to more than 1.4 million chargers; that is the company’s network-size claim and may change.

The monthly fee is a per-driver subscription, not the price of electricity. Actual public charging rates are shown in the Electroverse app and at the relevant charge point, and the terms say charges include the monthly seat fee plus actual use. Check the live service details before signup for the applicable session rates and any further charges. Octopus Fleet’s terms describe the billing basis.

Which networks get a FleetBoost discount?
Octopus lists FleetBoost as an optional multi-network discount subscription for Ionity, Be.EV and MFG. The page names these operators but does not state their specific discount rates or FleetBoost’s subscription price. A fleet therefore cannot calculate the net saving from the published information alone; check the current app or terms for the rates and charge before enrolling.
What are the advertised savings?
- Plunge Pricing: Octopus’s current public-charging page advertises savings of up to 45% when the grid is green. This is a maximum claim, not a guaranteed saving on every network, charger or session.
- Earlier launch figure: The February 2026 launch announcement described Plunge Pricing discounts of up to 50%. That launch figure differs from the current page’s up-to-45% claim; it should not be treated as the live advertised maximum.
- Salary sacrifice: The current page advertises employee savings of up to 40% on public charging through salary sacrifice. This, too, is a maximum advertised claim rather than a guaranteed outcome for every employee or fleet.
Actual results depend on the applicable rates and circumstances; the published maximums do not establish typical savings.

Who can sign up, and what are the practical terms?
The public-charging service is offered to legally recognised businesses or organisations established in England, Wales, Scotland or Northern Ireland, unless Octopus agrees otherwise in writing. A Variable Direct Debit is required unless the parties agree an alternative. Octopus describes the service as having no fixed contract; a business can cancel by contacting Octopus Fleet, but remains responsible for unpaid subscription fees and charging costs.
The Electrocard is the account-linked physical RFID credential used to access charging points. It is supplied as part of the service, while additional or replacement cards may be chargeable. Consult the current service terms for the precise conditions applying to an account.

What fleets should check before choosing it
- Compare the per-driver subscription with the actual session rates drivers will pay at the networks and locations they use.
- Ask for the current FleetBoost fee and operator-specific discounts before estimating savings.
- Confirm that the supported network’s locations suit your routes; the headline charger count alone does not show local availability.
- Check how consolidated billing, driver administration and downloadable reports fit your fleet’s accounting process.
- Confirm which services are included in the selected plan, particularly if you need home charging or reimbursement as well as public access.
- Review eligibility, payment, card replacement and cancellation terms before activating the service.
Octopus’s February 2026 launch release framed Fleet as a menu of public, home and depot charging options, rather than a single mandatory package. The public-charging subscription is most relevant to businesses that want a shared access and billing arrangement; whether it is economical depends on the additional session rates and any discounts the fleet can actually use.
