There is no reliable, complete price list for ranking the 2024 V8 Supercars. The field consisted of Gen3 Chevrolet Camaros and Ford Mustangs, but a championship race car is not a showroom model, and the available reporting does not disclose comparable prices for multiple cars. One report puts the rumored sale amount for the champion Camaro near AUD $900,000; that figure is unconfirmed.
Which cars competed in the 2024 Supercars Championship?
The 2024 Repco Supercars Championship field used two Gen3 models: the Chevrolet Camaro and Ford Mustang. The series’ technical rules identify the eligible models as the Chevrolet Camaro ZL1-1LE and Ford Mustang GT. These are purpose-built cars prepared to championship regulations, not ordinary road-car trims whose showroom prices can serve as a race-car price ranking.

In its January 2024 season preview, Supercars named Camaro teams including Erebus Motorsport, Triple Eight Race Engineering, Matt Stone Racing and PremiAir Racing. The preview also identified five two-car Ford teams: Tickford Racing, Dick Johnson Racing, Penrite Racing, Walkinshaw Andretti United and Blanchard Racing Team. What price evidence is available?
The championship-winning Camaro
A February 2025 report said Will Brown’s 2024 championship-winning Camaro, chassis 888A-066, had been sold. It relayed a rumored amount “approaching $900,000,” but did not establish a confirmed transaction price. Treat that as a reported rumor, not a verified sale figure, standard price or asking price for every Camaro. The same report said the car was expected to continue racing with Brown for at least part of the 2025 season. V8 Sleuth’s report is the source for both details.

The Gen3 development prototypes
In April 2024, Supercars announced that its Gen3 prototype Camaro and Mustang were for sale through Young Timer’s Garage. The official announcement did not publish an asking price. It mentioned a claimed target of $1 million each from the prior year; that historical target was not a disclosed 2024 asking price. Later coverage said the prototypes had sold but that no price tag had been attached when they were marketed. These development cars are a different category from regular championship entries, so their sale cannot establish a comparable price for a race-ready 2024 chassis.

Why a price ranking would be misleading
The available figures do not make a like-for-like comparison. One is a rumor about a championship-winning Camaro chassis; the prototype announcement gave no 2024 price, and later reporting said the prototypes were sold without a published price tag. No set of confirmed transaction prices or disclosed asking prices for multiple 2024 championship cars is established here.
A useful comparison would need to separate race-ready championship chassis, development prototypes and production road cars. Within any one category, buyers would also need comparable information on sale date, currency, condition, provenance, included engine and spares, and whether race use or support is part of the deal. Without those details, a ranked list would imply certainty and comparability the evidence does not support.

Did race results affect the cars’ prices?
The 2024 championship covered 24 races across 12 rounds. Chevrolet won 16 races to Ford’s eight and took the manufacturer title. Those results provide season context, but they do not establish what a specific Camaro or Mustang sold for. Supercars’ 2024 championship report records the season results.

The prototype Camaro and Mustang were offered through Young Timer’s Garage, and later reporting said they had sold. The champion Camaro was also reported sold, with its price unconfirmed. That does not show that other 2024 championship cars are currently available. A prospective buyer should verify the specific chassis, its provenance and condition, what is included, and whether any stated figure is an asking price or a completed sale price.

Full-size race cars should also be distinguished from collectibles: auction results published in 2026 show that 1:18-scale model race cars with 2024 liveries exist, but they do not establish current retail stock or price for a particular model.
