Sparks Motors built CyberTrax as a one-off prototype, reworking the suspension and steering to run tracks. The project was fitted with HELLTRAXX tracks, but neither the supplier’s published specifications nor the build reports establish a standard Cybertruck track kit or approved fitment.
What was the tracked Cybertruck?
In February 2024, Dave Sparks of Sparks Motors previewed a modified Cybertruck he called CyberTrax. HELLTRAXX later identified the Sparks Motors Cyber Truck on its site as a one-off prototype fitted with its tracks. That establishes the supplier’s connection to this build—not that HELLTRAXX sells a standard, Cybertruck-ready conversion kit.
Sparks introduced the project in a social post reproduced by Electrek’s February 23, 2024 report. He wrote that he was impatient to share the footage before the full YouTube video was ready, and thanked Tesla for being “so cool and supportive.”
What did mechanics change to install the tracks?
Reports describe a substantial custom conversion, not a wheel swap. According to Motor1’s March 6, 2024 account, the team reworked the suspension, disabled rear-wheel steering, replaced the standard shocks with Fox shocks, and added custom bumpers. Motor1 also reports Baja Designs lights as part of the build. The reports do not provide component model numbers or establish that those replacement parts are approved Cybertruck fitments.

The conversion also encountered mechanical failures during testing. Motor1 reports that a front suspension arm failed during an early test, and that a bolt in the rear steering rack broke during a later test. The reports do not establish the root cause of either failure, so they should not be treated as proof that a particular track design or modification caused them.
What tracks and specifications are documented?
HELLTRAXX’s product page lists specifications for two named CAMSO configurations. Those figures describe the products as listed by the supplier; they do not confirm which configuration was fitted to CyberTrax or certify either one for a Cybertruck.

These manufacturer figures appear on HELLTRAXX’s Products page, which does not provide a Cybertruck fitment table. HELLTRAXX’s home page identifies the Sparks Motors Cyber Truck as a one-off prototype. Neither page establishes that the specifications above correspond to CyberTrax’s exact setup or that either configuration is suitable for a Cybertruck.
Can you buy snow tracks for a Cybertruck?
The available supplier information does not establish a standard retail Cybertruck track kit or confirmed Cybertruck compatibility. HELLTRAXX’s product listings name UTVs, Jeep models, and RAM trucks, while its Cybertruck reference is specifically to a one-off prototype. A prototype using a supplier’s tracks is not the same as a published fitment, installation procedure, or approval for customer vehicles.

Anyone considering a tracked conversion would need direct confirmation of vehicle compatibility from the manufacturer and a clear account of required steering, suspension, mounting, and service changes. Track dimensions and vehicle-weight figures alone do not answer those fitment questions.

Coverage of the build establishes that it was tested and that components failed, but it does not provide a controlled comparison or verified figures for range, battery consumption, or long-term durability. Electrek speculated that the track setup might limit range; that was not a measured CyberTrax result. The available reporting also does not establish generalized performance in snow.

So the defensible takeaway is narrow: Sparks Motors built and tested a tracked Cybertruck prototype using HELLTRAXX tracks, with reported suspension and steering changes. The published evidence does not show how far it travels on a charge, how it compares with the standard truck, or how reliably the conversion holds up over time.
