Honda has unveiled the WN7, its first fixed-battery electric motorcycle in the Fun/naked category. The 2026 model is listed on Honda UK at £12,999; Honda says its 9.3 kWh battery can charge from 20% to 80% in about 30 minutes using CCS2 fast charging. That is a partial-charge claim, not a full-charge time, and the range figure is a manufacturer-certified WMTC result.

What is the Honda WN7?

The WN7 is the production version of Honda’s EV Fun Concept, shown at EICMA in 2024. Honda announced the model for Europe in September 2025 and unveiled it publicly at EICMA in Milan on November 4, 2025. Honda describes it as its first fixed-battery electric motorcycle in the Fun segment and a naked-style model. Its name refers to “Be the Wind” (W), “Naked” (N), and its output class (7). Honda’s global launch announcement and its September 2025 Europe announcement outline the concept-to-production timeline.

Honda says the WN7 will be produced at its Kumamoto Factory and introduced sequentially in global markets where electrification is advancing. Availability is market-specific. Honda UK lists a 2026 model page, but that UK listing should not be taken as confirmation of prices or delivery dates elsewhere.

How fast does the WN7 charge?

Honda says CCS2 fast charging takes approximately 30 minutes to raise the battery from 20% to 80%. This is not a full charge. Actual charging time can vary with conditions such as temperature and the charger in use.

For normal charging, Honda UK lists under 2 hours 30 minutes from 0% to 100% using Mode 3. Honda’s November 2025 global release gave a figure of under 2.4 hours for a normal 0–100% charge based on Honda measurements. These are source- and market-specific manufacturer figures, not independent charging tests. The UK page lists Type 2 normal charging and CCS2 quick charging; Honda’s global announcement also identifies those connector types.

Honda lists a Mode 3 charging cable as a WN7 accessory for connecting the bike to a Honda Power Charger. That accessory is distinct from CCS2 public fast charging; Honda does not say that the cable is needed for CCS2 charging. Check the cable, charger, and regional electrical compatibility before buying an alternative. Honda UK’s WN7 page provides its current charging and accessory information.

Range, battery and UK price

The WN7 uses a fixed 9.3 kWh lithium-ion battery. Honda gives a 140 km range under the WMTC test cycle; Honda UK labels this a certified range and specifies WMTC Mode 2 in its detailed specifications. It is a standardized manufacturer figure, not a promise of 140 km in everyday riding. The available figures do not establish independent real-world range results.

Honda UK lists the 2026 WN7 at £12,999. This is a UK-listed price and may change; it should not be applied to other markets. The UK product page also lists a rear seat bag with 15-litre capacity, expandable to 22 litres.

A2 licence version 18 kW 50 kW
A1 licence version 11 kW 11.2 kW

Honda UK lists a maximum speed of 129 km/h and kerb weight of 217 kg. These are official specifications, not independent test results. Confirm which version is offered in your market and what licence requirements apply there.

What to compare before choosing an electric motorcycle

For a useful comparison with another electric motorcycle, keep like-for-like figures together: charging connector and the state-of-charge interval behind a charging-time claim; range and its test cycle; rated as well as peak power; torque; kerb weight; price and market; and whether the battery is fixed or removable. A WMTC manufacturer range and an independently measured road-test range are not equivalent results.
