Honda India announced E-Clutch versions of the Rebel 500 and Rebel 300 on July 24, 2026, but it has not yet provided their prices or launch dates. The change applies to the India lineup; it does not mean the Rebel 500 is now an E-Clutch model worldwide. In American Honda’s 2026 lineup announcement, E-Clutch is specified for the Rebel 300, while the Rebel 500 returns in standard and SE trims.
What Honda India announced
Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India’s July 24, 2026 lineup announcement lists both the Rebel 300 and Rebel 500 in Standard and E-Clutch variants. Honda says it will share prices and release timing closer to each model’s launch, so the announcement alone does not establish when an India-market Rebel 500 E-Clutch will be available to order.
The NX500 is not part of this Rebel announcement. The models named are the Rebel 300 and Rebel 500.
What E-Clutch does on the Rebel
Honda describes E-Clutch as a system that manages the clutch during gear changes. According to Honda, riders can pull away, shift and stop without operating the clutch lever, a feature Honda says is useful in stop-and-go traffic. Why the Rebel 500 E-Clutch claim needs a market qualifier
Honda’s lineup differs by market and model year. The India announcement supports the Rebel 500 E-Clutch news; American Honda’s separate model-year 2026 announcement identifies E-Clutch on the Rebel 300, not the Rebel 500. Honda UK’s 2025 CMX500 page lists a conventional wet multiplate assisted-slipper clutch.

Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India’s 2025 Rebel 500 launch information gives the following specifications for that India-market model. These are 2025 figures and should not be treated as a confirmed specification sheet for the newly announced E-Clutch variant.
