The 2025 Honda Grom’s meaningful update is easier customization, not a documented engine overhaul. Honda restyled the bodywork and added an easy-to-remove plug-and-play mounting system, while continuing to offer standard, ABS and SP versions in the U.S. The result is a small motorcycle that is simpler to personalize without changing the familiar 124cc, five-speed formula.
What changed on the 2025 Honda Grom?
Honda identifies restyled bodywork as the headline 2025 change. The panels use an easy-to-remove plug-and-play mounting system, so owners can replace or rearrange the bodywork with less effort than a conventional permanently mounted panel design.

Honda also promotes bodywork and graphics through its accessory line. That makes the update practical: customization can involve replacement panels, not just decals. Honda’s feature description calls the system “easy-to-remove plug-and-play,” but the company’s U.S. material does not provide a complete year-over-year comparison with the 2024 model. There is therefore no basis here to claim a major mechanical redesign or a performance increase.

Should you buy the 2025 Honda Grom?
Choose the 2025 Grom when easy panel changes, factory-supported graphics and a small, approachable manual motorcycle matter more than a documented power increase. The standard model is the value choice, the ABS version adds front-wheel anti-lock braking, and the SP buys distinctive graphics and paint rather than a stated mechanical upgrade.
Because Honda’s published material does not include a full 2024-versus-2025 change table, independent performance testing or guaranteed local inventory, use the trim page and an authorized dealer to verify the final equipment, price and availability for your location.
