Which Fit and Yaris are being compared?
Model year, market, body style, trim, and transmission matter. The figures below describe U.S. 2020 vehicles; they are not specifications for every Fit or Yaris sold worldwide. The nameplates span different generations and markets, and Honda’s official Fit archive, for example, is market-specific: Honda Fit archive.

Actual fuel use varies with the vehicle’s condition, driving, and other factors; the figures should not be generalized to other model years, trims, or transmissions.

Does the Fit have more power?
Cars.com lists 130 hp for the 2020 Fit and 106 hp for the 2020 Yaris. This supports saying the Fit has the higher listed horsepower. It does not make horsepower a stand-in for a test drive: try the exact trim and transmission you are considering, especially if acceleration, hills, or highway merging matter to you.
Which is more reliable?
The evidence here does not establish a definitive reliability winner or comparative mechanical failure rates. Cars.com displays consumer reliability ratings of 5.0/5 for the 2020 Yaris and 4.7/5 for the 2020 Fit. Which one is safer?
A matched safety verdict for the exact 2020 trims is not established here. Safety equipment can vary by trim and vehicle, so check the equipment on the specific car and look up crash-test information for its exact model year and body style before deciding.
