2026 Lexus

Here’s What’s New for the Lexus SUV Lineup in 2026

The 2026 Lexus RZ gets the lineup’s biggest changes, while the NX receives new drivetrain and trim choices. Here’s what changes—and what doesn’t—on every U.S. Lexus SUV for 2026.

Short answer: the 2026 Lexus RZ is the major story. Lexus substantially revises its battery-electric SUV with a new charging system, three power outputs, higher manufacturer-estimated range, an 11-kW onboard charger, a native NACS port, and a new 402-horsepower RZ 550e F SPORT AWD. The NX also gets a meaningful reshuffle, adding more drivetrain and trim flexibility.

The rest of the U.S.-market lineup—LX, GX, TX, RX, and UX 300h—receives mostly incremental equipment, appearance, or grade changes. The 2026 Lexus SUV range is therefore not a lineup-wide redesign; it is a selective expansion of electrified choices surrounded by smaller convenience and utility updates.

All vehicles and specifications discussed here refer to the United States-market 2026 model year. Horsepower, range, fuel economy, charging time, and cargo figures are Lexus, EPA, or manufacturer estimates where identified and can vary by configuration and conditions.

2026 Lexus SUV lineup at a glance

Model Powertrains What is new for 2026 Best suited to
LX Gasoline V6 and hybrid New F SPORT Appearance Package for the LX 700h F SPORT Handling, an Overtrail color, broader hybrid Overtrail availability, and standard Lexus Safety System+ 3.0 Flagship luxury, towing, full-time four-wheel drive, and serious off-road capability
GX Gasoline twin-turbo V6 Essentially a carryover year Body-on-frame utility, off-road driving, towing, and rugged luxury
TX Gasoline, conventional hybrid, and plug-in hybrid Standard panoramic glass roof on the TX 550h+, added third-row cupholders, and a new exterior color for most non-F SPORT versions Three-row family space and a choice of electrified powertrains
RX Gasoline, hybrid, plug-in hybrid, and performance hybrid New RX 450h+ Premium grade, expanded F SPORT Appearance Package availability, and standard wireless phone charging Two-row luxury crossover buyers who want a broad powertrain selection
RZ Battery electric Major battery, motor, charging, range, and lineup revisions, including the new RZ 550e F SPORT AWD Drivers who want a Lexus EV and improved public-charging flexibility
NX Gasoline, conventional hybrid, and plug-in hybrid FWD availability for the NX 350h, F SPORT Handling across powertrains, a new NX 450h+ Premium grade, and dual-voltage charging cables Compact luxury SUV shoppers seeking efficiency or a plug-in option
UX 300h Conventional hybrid Minor color and trim changes Urban drivers seeking the smallest Lexus SUV and strong fuel economy

The 2026 Lexus RZ is the genuinely new story

The RZ receives the most extensive 2026 update by far. Rather than simply changing trim names or adding equipment, Lexus revises the battery-electric system and expands the model to three U.S. power outputs.

  • RZ 350e FWD: 221 total system horsepower.
  • RZ 450e AWD: 308 total system horsepower.
  • RZ 550e F SPORT AWD: 402 total system horsepower.

The RZ 550e F SPORT AWD is new for 2026 and is the performance-oriented addition to the range. It gets sport-focused styling, specially tuned suspension, 20-inch wheels, and Lexus’s M Mode virtual manual gear-shift system. M Mode uses the paddle shifters and simulated gear changes to make the single-speed electric drivetrain feel more interactive; it does not turn the RZ into a conventional multi-speed vehicle.

More range, faster AC charging, and a new charging inlet

Lexus says the revised RZ uses a larger lithium-ion battery, a higher-output eAxle, improved thermal management, and an 11-kW onboard AC charger. The prior model year used a 7-kW charger, so the 2026 RZ should make better use of sufficiently powerful Level 2 charging equipment. Actual charging time still depends on the circuit, wall equipment, state of charge, temperature, and battery limits.

Lexus gives these approximate manufacturer-estimated ranges:

2026 RZ version Drive Manufacturer-estimated range
RZ 350e Front-wheel drive Approximately 301 miles
RZ 450e All-wheel drive, 18-inch tires Approximately 264 miles
RZ 550e F SPORT All-wheel drive, 20-inch tires Approximately 229 miles

Lexus says DC fast charging from 10% to 80% can take approximately 30 minutes under ideal conditions. That is not a promise for every road trip: cold or hot temperatures, a busy or power-limited station, battery conditioning, tire choice, charger output, and the vehicle’s state of charge can all change the result. The larger wheels and performance hardware also help explain why the RZ 550e’s estimated range is lower than the front-drive RZ 350e’s.

The 2026 RZ adopts an SAE J3400, commonly called NACS, charging inlet. Lexus also says 2026 RZ owners can access more than 25,000 additional plugs through compatible Tesla Supercharger locations using the Lexus app. Access depends on station compatibility, account and app enrollment, network terms, and location; a NACS port alone does not guarantee that every Tesla-branded charger will work.

Lexus says its 2026 battery-electric vehicles support Plug & Charge after enrollment. It also says 2026 Lexus BEVs include adapters for backward compatibility with J1772 and CCS charging stations. Earlier RZ owners were offered a complimentary NACS adapter through Lexus dealers, while replacement or additional adapters may be available through a dealer or accessory department subject to availability. Because Lexus warns that unauthorized accessories can affect warranty coverage or vehicle performance, buyers should confirm the correct adapter with Lexus rather than assume that a generic marketplace product is equivalent.

The 2026 Lexus NX gets the most useful conventional-lineup reshuffle

The NX is not redesigned for 2026, but its range becomes easier to tailor to a buyer’s priorities. Lexus continues to offer the NX 350 gasoline model, NX 350h conventional hybrid, and NX 450h+ plug-in hybrid.

What changed on the NX

  • NX 350h FWD: the hybrid is now available with front-wheel drive as well as all-wheel drive. The FWD model is rated by Lexus at up to 40 mpg combined, while the AWD version is rated at up to 39 mpg combined.
  • F SPORT Handling: this grade becomes available with all three NX powertrain configurations, rather than being limited by drivetrain choice.
  • NX 450h+ Premium: the new Premium grade gives plug-in-hybrid shoppers another equipment level and lowers the entry point to the NX PHEV lineup compared with starting at a higher grade.
  • Charging equipment: every NX 450h+ receives a dual-voltage charging cable, allowing Level 1 and Level 2 charging when the appropriate household or installed equipment is available.
  • Colors: Infrared is added as an exterior color option across the lineup, and Ultra White becomes available across the lineup.

The NX 350 produces 275 horsepower from its turbocharged gasoline engine. Lexus quotes 240 combined system horsepower for the NX 350h and a 37-mile EPA-estimated electric-only range for the NX 450h+. Those figures apply to the relevant configurations and should not be treated as interchangeable with figures from the gasoline NX 350 or conventional hybrid NX 350h.

Special offer. See more information about Outbyte and uninstall instructions. Please review EULA and Privacy policy.

The practical takeaway is that the 2026 NX gives buyers more ways to prioritize efficiency, traction, styling, or charging convenience. The NX 350h FWD is the efficiency-focused choice; the NX 350h AWD adds traction; and the NX 450h+ is the option for drivers who can regularly charge and want to handle shorter trips electrically.

2026 Lexus LX: small changes to the flagship

The LX remains Lexus’s flagship SUV, with gasoline and performance-hybrid powertrains, full-time four-wheel drive, three-row availability in applicable configurations, and a luxury-oriented cabin. The 2026 changes are aimed mostly at appearance, off-road positioning, and standard safety equipment.

  • The F SPORT Appearance Package becomes available exclusively on the LX 700h F SPORT Handling model.
  • Manganese Luster is added as an exterior color option for the Overtrail grade.
  • The Overtrail grade is offered exclusively with the LX 700h hybrid powertrain and is available in two- or three-row configurations.
  • Lexus Safety System+ 3.0 is standard throughout the LX lineup.

The LX 600 and LX 700h remain the principal gasoline and hybrid choices, respectively. This is not an all-new LX year. It is a refinement year for shoppers who already know they want the larger flagship rather than the newer GX.

How to interpret 2026 LX pricing

Lexus’s official 2026 pricing tables list LX 600 and LX 700h grades, but the number displayed can vary between a newsroom release, the configurator, and a model page. Delivery, processing and handling fees, destination charges, options, regional presentation, and later model-year updates can affect the displayed total. For a purchase decision, use the latest official Lexus configurator or model-specific release and verify whether the figure includes the applicable fee. Any quoted LX price should be treated as a U.S. MSRP snapshot, not a permanent nationwide transaction price.

2026 Lexus GX: a carryover year, not a redesign

The 2026 GX carries over the recently introduced generation. Calling it “all-new” or “redesigned” would be inaccurate. Lexus continues to position the GX as a rugged, body-on-frame SUV with a twin-turbo V6, full-time four-wheel drive, available Premium and Luxury grades, and Overtrail-oriented equipment.

  • Accessories and collections: This product is very suitable for static accessories and can be used as an accessory next to a computer. For those who are passionate about collecting model car models, this is a great art collection.

Lexus lists 349 horsepower, seating for up to seven in applicable configurations, and towing capacity of up to 9,096 pounds for the relevant configuration. The exact seating and towing specifications depend on equipment and layout, so buyers should confirm the figures for the specific vehicle rather than apply the maximum to every GX.

The GX’s 2026 appeal is continuity: it retains the model’s off-road hardware, upright utility, available luxury equipment, and broad Genuine Lexus Accessories catalog without asking buyers to learn a new powertrain or a major redesign. It is a better fit than the LX for shoppers who want a newer-feeling rugged platform and a more overt adventure focus, while the TX is the more family-cargo-oriented choice.

Useful GX accessories—and the fitment details that matter

A GX used for trail trips, family travel, pets, or messy cargo benefits from vehicle-specific protection. Relevant categories include:

  • 2026 Lexus GX 550 all-weather floor liners: a sensible choice for mud, water, snow, and daily family use. Verify the model year, grade, and five- versus seven-seat configuration before ordering.
  • 2026 Lexus GX 550 cargo mat: useful for coolers, tools, pets, camping equipment, and muddy gear. Confirm whether the mat is designed for the third row in use, the third row folded, or a particular cargo-floor configuration.
  • Lexus GX 550 roof rack: useful for carrying bulky camping, sports, or overland equipment, but it must be matched to the vehicle’s mounting points and roof-load limits. A roof rack, cross bars, and a cargo basket are separate components, and installation requirements vary.

Lexus distinguishes its Lexus Genuine Accessories from Associated Accessory Products. Genuine accessories are designed for Lexus vehicles and covered by the Lexus warranty; third-party associated products carry their own manufacturer warranties and may not receive Lexus warranty coverage. Before buying any floor liner, cargo mat, rack, skid plate, or inflator, check the part number and fitment against the vehicle’s model year, grade, seating layout, and intended use.

2026 Lexus TX: the three-row family SUV gets minor equipment updates

The TX continues to be Lexus’s most direct answer for buyers who need a roomy three-row SUV. It remains available with gasoline, conventional-hybrid, and plug-in-hybrid powertrains, giving families more choice than they get in many three-row luxury competitors.

For 2026, a panoramic glass roof becomes standard on the TX 550h+ plug-in hybrid. Matador Red Mica becomes available on non-F SPORT models and the TX 550h+. Lexus also makes additional modular cupholders standard for third-row passengers.

Lexus Safety System+ 3.0 remains standard throughout the 2026 TX range. Lexus cites 20.2 cubic feet of cargo space behind the third row in its model-year release, while its broader SUV information lists seating for up to seven and up to 97 cubic feet of cargo capacity. Those measurements describe different loading conditions, so they should not be compared as though they were the same cargo test.

Special offer. See more information about Outbyte and uninstall instructions. Please review EULA and Privacy policy.

There is no major TX redesign in this update. The important decision remains powertrain selection: the gasoline version is the conventional choice, the hybrid prioritizes fuel efficiency without requiring charging, and the TX 550h+ plug-in hybrid is for owners who can use home or workplace charging and want electric operation for shorter trips.

2026 Lexus RX: more grades and standard convenience equipment

The RX receives a light equipment update rather than a fundamental mechanical change. Lexus identifies seven RX grades for 2026: Standard, Premium, Premium+, Luxury, F SPORT Handling, F SPORT Performance, and F SPORT Design.

The main changes are:

  • A new Premium grade is added to the RX 450h+ plug-in-hybrid range.
  • The F SPORT Appearance Package becomes available with both F SPORT Handling and F SPORT Performance grades.
  • Wireless phone charging becomes standard on all RX models.

The powertrain range remains broad. The RX 350 uses a 275-horsepower turbocharged four-cylinder engine. The RX 350h produces 246 total system horsepower. The RX 450h+ has a 38-mile EPA-estimated electric-only range and an 85 MPGe manufacturer-estimated combined rating in Lexus’s release. At the top of the performance range, the RX 500h F SPORT Performance produces 366 total system horsepower.

The RX remains the middle-ground Lexus SUV for buyers who do not need three rows but want more space and refinement than the NX. Its multiple powertrains also make it possible to choose gasoline, conventional hybrid, plug-in hybrid, or performance hybrid without switching to a different model.

2026 Lexus UX 300h: mostly carried over

The UX enters 2026 as the UX 300h and largely carries over the hybrid system introduced for the previous model year. Lexus describes the changes as minor color and trim revisions. The 196-horsepower hybrid powertrain remains available with front- and all-wheel drive.

The UX 300h remains the smallest and least expensive entry point into Lexus’s U.S. SUV and crossover range. Lexus lists a 43-mpg combined EPA estimate for the front-drive version, but fuel economy depends on the applicable configuration and should be verified on the vehicle’s window sticker or current Lexus specifications.

There is no major UX powertrain or platform change for 2026. Its appeal is its compact footprint, hybrid efficiency, and easier urban maneuverability—not a new technology package.

Which 2026 Lexus SUVs use each type of powertrain?

Powertrain type 2026 Lexus SUVs What it means for shoppers
Gasoline GX, LX 600, TX gasoline variants, RX 350, NX 350 No charging requirement; the conventional choice for long-distance flexibility and familiar refueling
Conventional hybrid LX 700h, TX hybrid variants, RX 350h, RX 500h, NX 350h, UX 300h Uses regenerative braking and a gasoline engine without requiring an external charging routine
Plug-in hybrid TX 550h+, RX 450h+, NX 450h+ Can drive on stored electricity for shorter trips when charged, while retaining a gasoline engine for longer journeys
Battery electric RZ 350e, RZ 450e, RZ 550e F SPORT Fully electric driving, with charging access and temperature conditions playing a larger role in trip planning

What is not part of the 2026 Lexus SUV lineup?

The Lexus TZ should not be listed as a 2026 model-year SUV in the United States. Lexus describes the TZ as a 2027 model arriving in fall 2026. It is expected to be Lexus’s first three-row all-electric SUV, making it relevant to future-Lexus coverage, but its arrival timing does not change the official 2026 lineup.

That distinction matters because a vehicle can arrive at dealerships during the 2026 calendar year while still being designated a 2027 model year. The 2026 lineup is LX, GX, NX, RX, RZ, TX, and UX Hybrid; the TZ belongs in a separate future-model note.

Which 2026 Lexus SUV should you consider?

  • Choose the RZ if you want the biggest technology change, a fully electric Lexus, NACS charging hardware, improved charging capability, or the new 402-horsepower RZ 550e F SPORT AWD.
  • Choose the NX 350h if compact dimensions and hybrid efficiency matter, especially now that you can choose FWD or AWD.
  • Choose the NX 450h+ if you want a compact plug-in hybrid and can charge regularly. The new Premium grade broadens the entry point.
  • Choose the RX if you want a two-row luxury crossover with the broadest conventional powertrain menu, including the 366-horsepower RX 500h F SPORT Performance.
  • Choose the TX if passenger space and a usable third row are the priorities. It offers gas, hybrid, and plug-in-hybrid choices and adds small family-friendly improvements for 2026.
  • Choose the GX if body-on-frame construction, full-time four-wheel drive, off-road capability, and towing matter more than having a 2026 redesign.
  • Choose the LX if you want the flagship Lexus SUV, full-time four-wheel drive, available hybrid power, and a larger luxury-oriented package.
  • Choose the UX 300h if the smallest footprint and fuel economy are more important than maximum cargo or third-row space.

How to compare 2026 Lexus SUV prices without getting misled

Lexus publishes model-specific MSRP tables, but price displays can change between official releases, model pages, and the online configurator. Some figures may include or exclude delivery, processing and handling fees, destination charges, options, or other adjustments. The safest approach is to compare like-for-like vehicles using the same definition of price:

  1. Confirm that the vehicle is a U.S.-market 2026 model.
  2. Record the exact model, grade, drivetrain, seating configuration, and major options.
  3. Check the latest Lexus model page or official release rather than relying on an old search result.
  4. Determine whether the displayed figure includes the applicable delivery, processing, handling, or destination fee.
  5. Separate MSRP from dealer-installed accessories, dealer fees, taxes, registration, and any market adjustment.

Because the official figures are volatile and the supplied model-year materials do not provide one stable, universally comparable price format for every SUV, a single “2026 Lexus SUV price range” can be less useful than a current, configuration-specific quote.

The bottom line on what is actually new

The 2026 Lexus SUV lineup is best understood as a targeted update. The RZ gets the hardware and charging changes that materially alter the ownership proposition. The NX gets the most meaningful reshuffling among the gas, hybrid, and plug-in-hybrid models. The RX, LX, and TX gain useful equipment or grade changes, while the UX 300h changes very little. The GX is a carryover, not a redesign.

Special offer. See more information about Outbyte and uninstall instructions. Please review EULA and Privacy policy.

And although the TZ is an important future Lexus EV, it is a 2027 model arriving in fall 2026—not one of the 2026 Lexus SUVs.

Frequently Asked Questions

Which 2026 Lexus SUV has the biggest update?

The 2026 Lexus RZ. It gets a revised battery-electric system, three power outputs, an 11-kW AC onboard charger, a native SAE J3400 NACS inlet, higher manufacturer-estimated range, faster ideal-condition DC charging, and the new 402-horsepower RZ 550e F SPORT AWD.

Is the 2026 Lexus GX redesigned?

No. The 2026 GX is a carryover year. It retains its body-on-frame construction, twin-turbo V6, full-time four-wheel drive, available Overtrail equipment, and recently introduced-generation design.

Is the Lexus TZ a 2026 model?

No. Lexus identifies the TZ as a 2027 model expected to arrive in fall 2026. It should be discussed separately from the official 2026 U.S. SUV lineup.

Special offer. See more information about Outbyte and uninstall instructions. Please review EULA and Privacy policy.

Which 2026 Lexus SUVs are plug-in hybrids?

The NX 450h+, RX 450h+, and TX 550h+ are plug-in hybrids. The NX 450h+ gains a new Premium grade and dual-voltage charging cables for 2026; the RX 450h+ also gains a Premium grade; and the TX 550h+ gets a standard panoramic glass roof.

Does every 2026 Lexus SUV have NACS charging?

No. The NACS update applies to the battery-electric 2026 RZ. The gasoline, conventional-hybrid, and plug-in-hybrid Lexus SUVs do not become NACS-charging vehicles. Lexus says 2026 RZ owners can access compatible Tesla Supercharger locations through the Lexus app, subject to enrollment, station compatibility, and network conditions.

The Bottom Line

The 2026 Lexus SUV lineup is not a wholesale redesign. The RZ is the major upgrade, the NX is the most meaningfully rearranged model, and the RX, LX, and TX receive targeted equipment changes. The GX carries over, the UX 300h changes only slightly, and the TZ is a separate 2027 model arriving in fall 2026.
