Here’s How Much It Costs to Charge Your EV at Sheetz

EV charging prices at Sheetz aren’t one-size-fits-all. Check the specific charger’s live rate, billing method, time window and applicable fees before charging.

There is no verified chain-wide price for charging an electric vehicle at Sheetz. Some Sheetz locations appear in EVgo’s station directories, but the rate depends on the specific charger, region, billing method, time of use and EVgo plan. Check the selected station’s live price in the EVgo app or map before you plug in.

Why there isn’t one Sheetz charging price

EVgo’s official pricing guidance says rates vary by region and plan, and directs drivers to check pricing for the station they plan to use. EVgo’s Pennsylvania and North Carolina directories list Sheetz locations, but that does not establish that every Sheetz charger is on EVgo’s network—or what any particular charger currently costs. EVgo’s pricing page and station directory are useful starting points.

So, if you are asking “How much will I pay to charge my car?” the accurate answer is the live rate shown for your chosen charger. No specific Sheetz station or current station-level price is established here.

What determines your total

How the charger bills

EVgo says many areas bill by the minute, while per-kilowatt-hour pricing is available at select locations. Those methods are not interchangeable: a per-minute charge depends on how long the vehicle occupies the charger, while a per-kWh charge is based on energy delivered. Check the unit shown for the station rather than assuming every Sheetz location uses the same one.

Time of use

Where EVgo time-of-use pricing applies, the company says rates are generally lowest during Super Off-Peak and Off-Peak periods and higher during On-Peak periods. The exact windows are location-specific, so check the station’s displayed rate and applicable time period before starting a session. EVgo’s pricing guidance notes that rates can vary and change.

Plan and session fees

EVgo’s plan comparison, updated September 17, 2025, lists PlusMax at $12.99 per month, Plus at $6.99 per month, and Pay As You Go with no monthly fee and a $0.99 session fee. These are plan or session fees—not the charging rate at a Sheetz station—and plan details may change. Check the current comparison before choosing a plan: EVgo plans.

Other charges may also affect a session. EVgo says a credit-card-initiated session may incur a transaction fee, and applicable taxes can affect the total. The station’s rate, billing unit, plan, time period and any fees all matter. EVgo’s FAQ also explains how to find pricing: EVgo FAQ.

How to check the price before charging

  1. Find the exact Sheetz location. Search the EVgo app or map for the address and select the station, not just the Sheetz brand name.
  2. Open the charger details. Check the posted price, whether it is per minute or per kWh, and whether a time-of-use period applies.
  3. Review fees and your plan. Confirm any session or card transaction fee and whether your account’s plan changes the cost.
  4. Estimate your session from your own vehicle. Use the battery capacity and current state of charge shown for your car to estimate the energy you want to add, then apply the rate displayed for that charger. If the rate is per minute, the total also depends on charging time; do not estimate it from energy alone.

EVgo’s Help Center advises drivers: “You can check the EVgo map or PlugShare for specific station pricing.” Treat the listing as a live lookup, since prices and availability can change. If the Sheetz charger does not appear in EVgo’s tools, check the charger’s own display or the network named on the equipment.

Is charging at Sheetz free?

Do not assume it is free. The official pricing guidance reviewed does not establish a free Sheetz-wide charging offer. Check the price at the specific charger before beginning a session.

How to compare a Sheetz charger with another option

Compare actual local options using the same expected amount of added energy and the fees that apply to your account. A low-looking rate may not produce the lowest total if billing is per minute, a fee applies, or a subscription cost outweighs the savings for your charging frequency.
