Yes. The fifth-generation Kia Sportage L hybrid launched in Pakistan in February 2025. Kia’s July 2026 announcement was a facelift of that existing generation—not its first arrival or a sixth-generation launch.
What is on sale in Pakistan?
Kia Pakistan currently lists the Sportage L in two hybrid configurations: FWD HEV and AWD HEV. Its official booking form also offers both 1.6L Turbo Hybrid variants, with a dealer selection option.
You can check the current listings on Kia Pakistan’s Sportage L showroom page and official booking page. The pages establish which versions are listed, but do not establish current prices, booking amounts, stock, or delivery times.
How the 2025 launch and 2026 facelift differ
Dawn reported on August 10, 2026, in an advertorial, that the fifth-generation Sportage L with hybrid-electric technology launched in Pakistan in February 2025. The same report described a July 2026 facelift update to the range. The month and year of the original launch are established; an exact February launch date is not.

So, if you saw a July 2026 announcement described as the “new” Sportage, it refers to an update to the fifth-generation model already introduced in Pakistan, not a wholly new generation.

These figures come from Kia Pakistan’s current Sportage L specifications. Kia’s page lists overall dimensions of 4,685 mm long and 1,865 mm wide, a 2,755 mm wheelbase, and a 52 L fuel tank.
Choosing between FWD HEV and AWD HEV
The core distinction confirmed in Kia’s local listings is the drivetrain: FWD sends power to the front wheels, while AWD provides all-wheel drive. Kia’s feature list also identifies snow, mud, and sand terrain modes for the AWD variant.

The fifth-generation Kia Sportage L is already in Pakistan: it launched in February 2025 as a hybrid, and Kia’s July 2026 update was a facelift. The current local lineup lists FWD HEV and AWD HEV versions.
