Its Milwaukee-Eight 114 produces a published 119 lb-ft of torque at 3,500 rpm in North American specifications. Those facts support calling it a powerful Softail cruiser—not declaring it the fastest Harley-Davidson cruiser by top speed or acceleration: Harley-Davidson did not publish factory top-speed or 0–60 figures in the cited materials.
The “5-year-old” description is also out of date as of October 5, 2026. Official materials identify 2019 and 2020 model-year FXDR 114s, which are now older than five years.
What Harley-Davidson meant by the FXDR 114’s performance positioning
When Harley-Davidson introduced the FXDR 114, it described the motorcycle as having “the most-powerful engine offered in the Softail chassis.” That statement is the manufacturer’s launch-era positioning within a particular chassis family, not a measured ranking of every Harley-Davidson cruiser. It also does not establish a top-speed record or a faster 0–60 time than competing motorcycles. Harley-Davidson’s 2018 launch announcement gives the context for the claim.
“Fastest” can refer to maximum speed, acceleration, or simply a strong engine. The available factory specifications establish engine displacement and torque, but do not provide a top-speed or 0–60 result. No comparable test figures or test conditions are supplied for ranking the FXDR 114 against other cruisers.

How fast is the Harley-Davidson FXDR 114?
Harley-Davidson’s published figure is 119 lb-ft (162 Nm) of engine torque at 3,500 rpm for North American specifications, measured per J1349. Torque describes the engine’s twisting force; it is not a speed measurement. The figure alone cannot tell you the motorcycle’s maximum speed or acceleration. Harley-Davidson’s 2020 media specifications list the torque figure.
The 2019 catalog identifies a Milwaukee-Eight 114 engine with 1,868 cc displacement. The Harley-Davidson 2019 catalog documents that model-year specification. Although the 114 engine and launch description explain why the FXDR was presented as performance-oriented, the cited official documents do not give factory-verified top-speed or 0–60 numbers. Claims such as 160 mph or 2.5 seconds to 60 mph should not be presented as Harley-Davidson-verified specifications on this evidence.

Which model years were available?
Harley-Davidson’s official materials document the FXDR 114 for the 2019 and 2020 model years. The company’s 2020 model-year page includes the motorcycle, while its 2019 catalog and announcements establish the earlier model year. Harley-Davidson’s 2020 model-year page lists the FXDR 114. As of October 5, 2026, neither model year is accurately described as five years old.

For a replacement rear tire, the listed specification is Michelin Scorcher 11, 240/40R-18 79V. Check the model year and the particular motorcycle’s configuration before buying or fitting a tire; do not assume every FXDR 114 has the same setup. Harley-Davidson’s 2020 media specifications provide the cited sizes.

A fair “fastest” comparison needs like-for-like model years and comparable evidence. Look for verified top-speed or acceleration results with test conditions stated, and check whether the motorcycles were stock. Engine torque and power specifications can help describe performance, but they cannot substitute for timed acceleration or maximum-speed testing. The cited Harley-Davidson materials provide the FXDR 114’s torque and model specifications, not a comparative speed test.
