Those details come from a New Atlas report about Guruma’s claims, not an official specification sheet or an independent test. The report also gives the bike a 1,051 cc inline-four rated at 150 hp, but its production status and sales plans remain unresolved.
What rider aids does the Guruma 1000 RR reportedly have?
New Atlas says the 1000 RR combines a six-axis inertial measurement unit (IMU), millimeter-wave radar, and front and rear cameras. Guruma’s reported AI system is described as monitoring approaching obstacles and road conditions, with 360-degree coverage, and warning the rider about hazards or slippery surfaces. The report also says the software may receive over-the-air updates.
New Atlas quotes Guruma’s system as “predicting the curvature of the curves and how the grip of the asphalt changes.” That is a claim attributed to the company through the outlet; the report provides no independent verification of the prediction or warning functions. It does not establish that the system takes control of steering, braking or throttle, so the 1000 RR should not be described as autonomous.
What engine and hardware are reported?
New Atlas reports a 1,051 cc inline-four producing 150 hp and 77.4 lb-ft (105 Nm) of peak torque. The outlet associates the engine with the QJMotor SRK 1051 RR and says it appears to be the same engine used in that model. It describes the related QJMotor engine as a reworked older MV Agusta 921 motor. These are the outlet’s reported associations, not a published Guruma parts list or confirmed manufacturer specification.

The article also notes visual similarities to QJMotor models and identifies adjustable upside-down telescopic forks and a Marzocchi steering damper among the visible components. It does not establish a complete component specification. New Atlas gives a 161 mph (260 km/h) top-speed figure in the context of the related QJMotor model; that figure is not a verified Guruma 1000 RR top speed.
Are the AI rider aids proven?
Not on the evidence available in the New Atlas report. It describes Guruma’s claimed sensing and warning functions but does not provide independent test results, performance measurements or validation of the AI’s ability to identify changing grip. There is also no documented evidence in the report that the system intervenes in the motorcycle’s controls. The reported feature list should therefore be treated as a description of a presented concept, not proof of a tested safety benefit.

Is the Guruma 1000 RR available, and what will it cost?
New Atlas reported on April 10, 2026, that price, launch timing and export plans were unknown, and described the bike as intended for the Chinese market. Those were publication-time unknowns, not confirmation of its current sales status. The report does not establish whether the motorcycle entered production, which markets it may serve, whether it is homologated, or whether the sensor package is production-ready.

New Atlas described Guruma as a new mobility technology sub-brand of Fengxun and reported the 1000 RR’s presentation at AWE in Shanghai. The available account is a secondary report; it is not accompanied by official Guruma documentation or an independent road test. That distinction matters because the engine figures, component identifications, technology functions and market details have not been independently confirmed in the cited coverage.
