What is the S1 LM?
The S1 LM is the first model from Gordon Murray Special Vehicles, a division focused on highly exclusive, driver-focused cars. The company announced a production run of five. The model marks 30 years since the McLaren F1 GTR won the 1995 24 Hours of Le Mans and takes inspiration from the five McLaren F1 LMs built to commemorate that victory. Who owns the five S1 LMs?
After the auction, Gordon Murray Special Vehicles said all five S1 LMs had been purchased by one individual. It did not disclose details about ownership of the other four chassis. Gordon Murray Automotive’s 2026 press page later said the S1 LM sold for $20.6 million “last year” and stated that every programme announced up to that point was fully sold out.
