GEODIS has placed a firm order for 110 battery-electric heavy-duty trucks in the 44-tonne class from Renault Trucks and Volvo Trucks. The company expects delivery by May 2027 and says it will use the vehicles in France for urban deliveries and long-distance transport.
What GEODIS ordered
The 5 October 2026 announcement describes a firm order for 110 electric trucks developed by Renault Trucks and Volvo Trucks. GEODIS expects the vehicles to be delivered by May 2027; they have not yet entered service under this announcement. GEODIS did not disclose how the order is divided between the two manufacturers or name the truck models. Trade coverage published on 6 October likewise reports that those details were not disclosed.
Where GEODIS plans to use the trucks
GEODIS says the vehicles will support its French operations, covering both urban deliveries and long-distance transport. The company says the order will bring the electric truck fleet in its European Road Network activity to 190 vehicles. That is GEODIS’s projected fleet total after the order, not a count of vehicles already operating.
How GEODIS plans to support charging
GEODIS says it is developing electric corridors along major French routes, with charging available every 250 to 500 kilometers. Its announcement cites around 60 charging points currently and sets a target of more than 200 by 2030. These are company-reported network figures and a future target; the announcement does not name a charging-network supplier.

What the announcement does not specify
The order announcement identifies the vehicle class and manufacturers but leaves several operational and commercial details open. It provides no truck-level range, payload, energy-consumption figure, purchase price or quantified emissions saving for these vehicles. It also does not identify exact models or the number supplied by each manufacturer, so specifications from other Renault Trucks or Volvo Trucks products cannot be assigned to this order.
GEODIS Managing Director of European Road Network Marc Vollet said: “It is a major investment for GEODIS, both in terms of fleet and infrastructure, marking our clear choice in favor of electrifying our fleet and integrating into our CO2 emission reduction trajectory validated by the Science Based Target initiative.” The order and infrastructure figures are GEODIS’s stated plans, not independently audited performance results.
