Geely’s six-seat Galaxy M9 plug-in hybrid SUV was unveiled in Milan in May 2025 with a launch-era combined-range claim of more than 930 miles. That figure is not a promise of 930 miles in everyday driving: Geely’s current specifications give different combined-range figures by trim and test cycle, and list a separate, much shorter electric-only range.
What is the Geely Galaxy M9?
The Galaxy M9—called Yinhe M9 in Geely’s English launch announcement—is a six-seat flagship SUV. Geely unveiled it in Milan on May 22, 2025, describing it as an EM-P Super Hybrid plug-in hybrid powered by its AI Cloud 2.0 system. Geely’s launch announcement presents the vehicle’s technical and performance figures as manufacturer claims, not results from an independent road test.
What does the 930-mile range claim mean?
The 930-mile headline is a rounded rendering of a launch-era claim of more than 1,500 kilometres of combined range. Combined range includes driving on electric power and with the combustion-engine hybrid system; it is not the distance the M9 can travel solely on battery power.
Geely’s current product page advertises more than 1,500 km of combined range under the CLTC test cycle, but its trim specifications show that both the version and cycle matter. The figures below are official laboratory-cycle ratings, not independently measured real-world distances. Geely Galaxy M9 specifications (accessed October 8, 2026):

The table’s lower and higher values are the trim-dependent figures shown by Geely; it does not establish a one-to-one mapping of every range figure to a particular battery, drivetrain or price. CLTC and WLTC are different test cycles, so their results should not be treated as interchangeable. The headline’s 930 miles is close to the higher CLTC combined figure, but it exceeds the listed combined-range figures under WLTC.
How far can it travel on battery power alone?
Geely lists electric-only range separately from combined range: 100 or 230 km under CLTC and 85 or 185 km under WLTC, depending on version. Those figures—not the 930-mile headline—are the relevant published numbers for battery-only driving. The product specifications list battery capacities of 18.4 and 41.46 kWh. No independent real-world range measurement is established by the cited sources.

What performance and fuel-consumption figures has Geely announced?
In its 2025 launch announcement, Geely stated fuel efficiency of 4.8 L/100 km and acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h in 4.5 seconds. These are manufacturer-reported figures; the announcement does not establish independent test results or enough conditions to apply them as guaranteed everyday consumption or acceleration. Geely’s product page displays guided prices of 173,800–259,800 yuan and offers order and test-drive actions. That is China-market pricing shown on the page as accessed October 8, 2026. The cited sources do not establish retail availability in other countries, so buyers elsewhere should not assume the M9 is officially sold or supported in their market.
