The next Jeep vehicles to watch in the U.S. include the returning 2026 Cherokee hybrid and the all-electric 2026 Recon. The Wagoneer S is already in Jeep’s lineup, while 2027 brings updates to Grand Cherokee and Cherokee trims. Stellantis has also outlined future truck and large-SUV programs, but has not confirmed those vehicles as Jeeps.
What new Jeeps are coming in 2026?
The clearest answers are the 2026 Cherokee and 2026 Recon, though their status differs. Jeep says the Cherokee is arriving at U.S. dealerships; the Recon is an announced electric SUV with an initial U.S. and Canada launch planned. The Wagoneer S is another electric Jeep, but it is already listed in the current U.S. lineup rather than being a future reveal.

Is Jeep bringing back the Cherokee?
Yes. Jeep announced the all-new Cherokee on May 29, 2025, and its current news hub identifies it as the 2026 Cherokee, describes it as arriving at U.S. dealerships, and lists an I4 Turbo Hybrid. Jeep positions the midsize SUV between the Compass and Grand Cherokee. The return is therefore an announced model, not just a rumor.
Jeep’s news hub gives more than 500 miles of total range on a tank and estimated fuel economy of 37 mpg. Those are manufacturer estimates, not independent test results; final figures can vary by configuration. Check the live listing for current trim details and dealer availability. Jeep’s U.S. news hub

What is the 2026 Jeep Recon?
The Recon is Jeep’s announced all-electric SUV aimed at off-road use. Jeep calls it Trail Rated and says its initial launch is planned for the United States and Canada. The announcement describes standard electric four-wheel drive, Selec-Terrain, and removable doors and glass—features that give the Recon a distinct role from the more mainstream Cherokee hybrid.
Jeep’s 2025 announcement lists 650 horsepower, 620 lb-ft of torque, up to 250 miles of estimated range depending on trim, and a 0–60 mph time as quick as 3.6 seconds. These are manufacturer specifications or estimates, not independent test measurements. The announcement said production would begin early the following year; confirm current timing and availability with Jeep before treating that schedule as a delivery date. Jeep Recon announcement

Is the Wagoneer S still a future Jeep?
Not in the sense of an unconfirmed upcoming model: Jeep currently lists the Wagoneer S in its U.S. lineup. Stellantis said the 2025 model was available to order online and at Jeep dealerships throughout North America at that time. That 2025 announcement quoted a starting U.S. MSRP of $66,995 including destination and said buyers could receive a 48-amp Level 2 home charger or equivalent public-charging credits with a purchase or lease. Those were terms for the 2025 model announcement, not confirmed current pricing, availability, or incentives. Use the live Wagoneer S listing for current details.

What could come after these models?
In October 2025, Stellantis said it intended to invest more than $600 million to reopen Belvidere and expand Jeep Cherokee and Compass production for the U.S. market, with initial production expected in 2027. The same release described an all-new midsize truck planned for Toledo with expected 2028 timing, and a large-SUV program for Warren beginning in 2028. It did not name the truck or large SUV as Jeep models, or provide their designs and specifications. It would be premature to call either a new Gladiator, Wagoneer, or another specific Jeep. Stellantis’ U.S. manufacturing announcement
Older product roadmaps should also be read with care. Stellantis later said its business reset would align products with customer demand, citing the Cherokee’s return and the next-generation Compass among its actions. It also said some products that could not reach profitable scale were cancelled, including the previously planned Ram 1500 BEV. That statement does not itself cancel any Jeep model discussed here, but it means older electrification targets should not be treated as guaranteed Jeep commitments without newer confirmation.
