Which full-size SUVs have a verified starting MSRP under $70,000?
The table compares the qualifying configurations and the key distinguishing details published by their manufacturers. These are not equivalent equipment levels, and the available specifications do not support ranking one as best overall.

What the five options offer
Nissan Armada SV: the lowest documented starting price
At $58,840, the 2026 Armada SV has the lowest starting MSRP among these verified choices. Nissan identifies it as an eight-seat SUV and lists both 4×2 and 4×4 versions. The lower entry price does not establish that it will be the least expensive vehicle to buy in a particular location: destination, options, taxes, dealer fees and inventory all affect the final amount.

The 2026 Suburban LS 2WD has a $63,700 base MSRP. Chevrolet describes the Suburban as a full-size SUV; its longer body makes it relevant when passenger and cargo space are a priority. Comparable behind-the-third-row cargo figures were not established across these candidates, so check the exact measurements and test your own luggage or gear before choosing it over a Tahoe.

Toyota Sequoia: hybrid powertrain with manufacturer-claimed towing and efficiency figures
The 2026 Sequoia starts at $65,725 and uses Toyota’s i-FORCE MAX twin-turbo V6 hybrid powertrain. Toyota advertises 437 horsepower and 583 lb-ft of torque, maximum towing of up to 9,500 pounds, and up to an EPA-estimated 22 mpg combined. These are Toyota-published specifications and maximums; actual fuel economy and towing suitability depend on configuration and use. Check the specific vehicle’s towing rating and required equipment before planning to tow.
GMC Yukon Elevation: close to the price ceiling
The 2026 Yukon Elevation starts at $69,600, making it the closest of these five to the $70,000 cutoff. GMC lists seating for up to eight and a standard 5.3L V8 with a 10-speed automatic. Its page’s $70,245 as-shown price is not the starting MSRP; shoppers should distinguish the advertised entry price from the price of the displayed configuration.

How to decide which one fits your needs
Because the available manufacturer information is not consistent across all five vehicles, compare the exact vehicles you can buy rather than treating the table as a like-for-like test. Use these checks when building a shortlist:
- Final price: Confirm the exact configuration’s MSRP and destination charge, then account for options, taxes, dealer fees and any incentives. Starting MSRP is not an out-the-door quote.
- Drivetrain: Check whether the price is for 2WD, 4×2, 4WD or 4×4 and whether the drivetrain you want is available on that trim.
- Passenger fit: Verify seating capacity, access to the third row and room for the people who will use it regularly.
- Cargo with seats in use: Compare usable cargo space behind the third row, not just maximum cargo volume with seats folded. The figures needed for a complete comparison are not established across these candidates here.
- Towing: Compare the rating for the exact engine and configuration, and confirm any required towing equipment. A model’s advertised maximum does not necessarily apply to every version.
- Fuel economy and equipment: Check the official figures and standard comfort and driver-assistance features for the trim being priced.
- Ownership and availability: Review warranty terms and local inventory, and get a written quote for the vehicle’s actual build.
Why this is a five-SUV shortlist, not seven
The Ford Expedition is another major full-size SUV to consider. An Associated Press report summarizing Edmunds coverage discusses its 2025 redesign, updated interior, split-opening tailgate and luggage capacity behind the third row. That does not establish a 2026 Expedition trim with a starting MSRP below $70,000. Nor is there comparable supporting evidence here for two additional qualifying SUVs. Including them as under-$70,000 picks would require guessing, so this shortlist does not claim to provide seven verified choices or a ranked winner.
