Four people were taken to hospital after a blue Subaru WRX crashed into a home on Columbia Parkway in Piara Waters, Perth, on Friday night, according to a PerthNow report published on 20 August 2022. The car mounted the kerb and came to rest with its rear perched on the roof and a neighbouring fence.
What happened on Columbia Parkway?
PerthNow reported that emergency services were called at about 11:40 p.m. on Friday. The report was published on 20 August 2022; the Friday was 19 August, by inference from that publication date. The crash occurred at a property in Piara Waters, in Perth’s south east.
The report describes damage to the home’s front brick wall and front bedroom. Part of a wall pillar was lodged in a bedroom wall. Neighbours Sony and Amullia Thomas said two occupants were trapped and had to be cut out. Sony Thomas said: “No-one is expecting cars flying.”
Who was taken to hospital?
The car carried three males and a 17-year-old female driver. All four were taken to hospital by ambulance. Homeowner Ronwyn Camp said she had been told the occupants escaped serious injury, although one passenger had a broken leg. That injury detail is Camp’s account, not a medical bulletin.
