It was a game update, not a new release. Its events and rewards were available during May and June 2024; those dates have passed.
What changed in Featured Multiplayer?
Update 8 changed both how Safety Ratings were calculated and how players were grouped for matchmaking. The changes took effect after a player’s first race following the update.

What was the Track Toys Tour?
The Track Toys Tour was a four-series Career event built around high-performance cars positioned between road cars and racecars. Turn 10 described it as a chance to drive “high-performance cars that you could see hot lapping on the racetrack.” Players could complete the series in any order and at any point through June 27, 2024.

The horsepower and acceleration figures are from Turn 10’s game promotional descriptions, not independent vehicle tests. Completing all four series awarded the 2019 Porsche #70 Porsche Motorsport 935. That is how players could unlock the Porsche 935 through the Track Toys Tour during the event period.
What was the separate Open Class Tour reward?
Update 8 refreshed the Open Class Tour in Career mode and moved it to the Featured tab. Completing that tour during the update period awarded the 2011 BMW 1 Series M Coupé. This was separate from the Porsche 935 reward for completing all four Track Toys series. Turn 10’s Update 8 release notes also document the tour reward.

What other gameplay and customization changes arrived?
Livery editor: Vinyl Material
A new Vinyl Material tool let players adjust vinyl uniformly from matte to glossy, with a reset option to match the car paint’s glossiness. Designs imported from Forza Horizon 5 that used its similar feature inherited those material values.
Free Play and Private Multiplayer: Tire Wear Scale
Event setup gained a Tire Wear Scale from 0.5x to 10x, with 1x as the default. At 2x, tires wore twice as fast. Players could change the setting in the Event Setup Rules tab or through the Fuel & Tire menu while on track. It applied to Free Play and Private Multiplayer.

Featured Multiplayer car series
The 2020 KTM X-Bow GT2 and 2020 Lamborghini Essenza SCV12 moved from Forza GT Series to Modern Factory Racecar Series. The 2019 Porsche #70 Porsche Motorsport 935 was added to Forza GT Series.
Drivatar AI braking
Turn 10 adjusted Drivatar AI behavior to reduce unnecessary braking, including while passing, when cars were side by side in corners, at corner apexes, and on straights.

When did Update 8 arrive, and what was the event schedule?
Turn 10 announced Update 8 on May 13, 2024. The download rollout began at 10:00 a.m. PT / 5:00 p.m. UTC that day on Xbox Series X|S and PC via Microsoft Store and Steam. Spotlight cars and new events began May 15 at 5:00 p.m. PT / 12:00 a.m. UTC on May 16.

What was the Mobil 1 collaboration?
Turn 10 announced a Mobil 1 collaboration for the brand’s 50th anniversary, including Rivals events planned for summer 2024 and Mobil 1 signage at Maple Valley. This describes a historical in-game partnership, not a current promotion.
