At the time of his appointment, Porsche Supervisory Board Chairman Dr. Wolfgang Porsche said Leiters’s “leadership style and in-depth expertise” were “ideal prerequisites” for chairing the company’s Executive Board. That is the board chairman’s assessment, rather than an independent evaluation of Leiters’s record.

What priorities has Porsche announced under Leiters?
In a March 11, 2026, realignment announcement, Porsche described its initial measures as applying its “Value over Volume” principle, particularly in China; ramping up production of the all-electric Cayenne with a focus on quality; streamlining management and reducing hierarchy and bureaucracy; and concentrating more strongly on the core business. These are company-stated actions and priorities, not evidence that the changes have already delivered results.

The same March announcement said Leiters had outlined early cornerstones of Strategy 2035 about seventy days after taking office. Porsche said it was considering expansion into higher-margin segments, including models or derivatives positioned above its current two-door sports cars and above the Cayenne. The company described these as considerations—not confirmed products or launch plans.

In its January–June 2026 reporting materials, Porsche attributed a statement to Leiters saying the team had worked intensively and with discipline on its strategy over the previous six months, while adding that “we still have a lot of work ahead of us” to position Porsche robustly for a challenging future. The statement appears alongside the company’s Reports & Presentations materials; it reflects management’s own account, not an independent assessment of the strategy or its eventual impact.
