It was planned for 1,965 cars, with unique anniversary styling; Ford’s announcement does not establish current availability or pricing.
What the Mustang 60th Anniversary Package is
The package was announced for the 2025 Mustang GT Premium equipped with the 5.0-liter V8. It is a special package for that model, not a separate Mustang generation. Ford framed the anniversary around the Mustang’s 1964 debut at the New York World’s Fair, while the planned run of 1,965 cars refers to 1965, the model’s first year.
Ford said it planned to produce 1,965 examples. That is the announced production limit, not a count of cars still available. The announcement described orders opening in summer 2024 and dealership arrivals in the fourth quarter of 2024; those were plans at the time, not confirmation of present inventory. Ford senior designer Stefan Taylor said, “The design was directly inspired by the clean silhouette of the original car.”

What Ford’s announcement does—and does not—confirm
Ford Enthusiast Vehicles general manager Matt Simpson called the package “a multi-generational tribute,” saying, “Mustang’s design DNA has never been stronger or more enduring than this multi-generational tribute.” The announcement establishes the package’s intended specification and production plan, but it cannot tell shoppers whether a particular car is currently for sale or what it costs. Buyers interested in one should verify availability and pricing with a Ford dealer.
