Yes—Ford’s U.S. Power Promise page currently advertises a complimentary home charger and standard installation for eligible retail EV customers. Its FAQ names new Ford F-150 Lightning and Mustang Mach-E purchases or leases. But the live page content does not establish a dated 2026 offer window or every model-year, regional, and installation condition. Get the current written terms from a participating Ford dealer before signing.

What is the Ford Power Promise?

Ford Power Promise is a U.S. program that, according to Ford’s current Power Promise page, offers eligible retail EV customers a complimentary home charger and standard installation. The FAQ says the customer keeps the charger when a lease ends.

Ford’s page does not provide a dated 2026 eligibility window in the information available here. A page advertising the benefit is not a substitute for confirming that it applies to the specific vehicle, transaction, location, and signing date.

Which Ford models qualify?

Ford’s FAQ specifically names new F-150 Lightning and Mustang Mach-E retail purchases or leases. That is not a complete statement of the live offer’s model-year, trim, geographic, or other transaction terms. Ask the dealer to confirm your exact vehicle and whether the offer applies to your purchase or lease.

  • CONTROL FROM YOUR PHONE: A stronger built-in antenna keeps the charger online even in a garage or basement. Use the free app to start and stop charging, set the charging speed (6-48A), get reminders, and track how much energy and money each charge uses. Requires a 2.4 GHz home WiFi network.
  • SAFETY-CERTIFIED & WEATHERPROOF: Independently tested and certified (UL, ETL, FCC, Energy Star). A fully sealed IP66 / NEMA 4 housing stands up to rain, snow, heat and dust indoors or out, and internal steel shielding protects the electronics for years of reliable use.
  • GLOW-IN-THE-DARK HOLSTER: The included high-visibility holster glows in the dark so you can find and dock the plug easily at night. Holds the connector securely when not in use.

What charger will I receive?

Ford does not guarantee one particular charger model or brand; its FAQ says the selection can vary with availability. The Charge Station Pro is one of Ford’s listed home-charging products, not a guaranteed Power Promise shipment. Confirm the charger model, compatibility, and equipment included in writing.

Ford lists the Charge Station Pro and Connected Charge Station as hardwired Level 2 products that require professional installation. Its home-charging page has displayed prices of $1,310 for the available Charge Station Pro and $799 for the available Connected Charge Station; the mobile charger was listed at $520 alone or $600 bundled with a Fast Charging Adapter. These are webpage prices, not guaranteed current prices or proof that a particular item is included in the program. Check current price, configuration, and vehicle compatibility on Ford’s home-charging page.

Does Ford pay for installation?

Ford advertises standard installation at no charge for eligible customers and says it identifies local licensed electricians through Qmerit Electrification LLC. The offer is limited by Ford’s definition of standard installation; do not assume all electrical work, permits, fees, or home-specific exceptions are covered. Ask for the installer’s assessment and a written scope and quote before work begins.

What counts as a standard installation?

Ford’s Power Promise FAQ describes a standard installation as one at a residential property—such as a single-family home, duplex, condo, or townhome—with a dedicated electrical meter. The charger must attach to the same structure as the main electrical panel. You are responsible for obtaining any necessary HOA, landlord, property-owner, or other third-party approvals.

Panel capacity, the distance and route between the panel and charger, and other site conditions can affect the work required. Have the electrician identify any work outside Ford’s standard scope and clarify who pays for it, including permits and fees.

Will Level 1 charging be enough, or do you need Level 2?

Ford distinguishes basic outlet charging from a dedicated home charging station. The right setup depends on your driving, vehicle, and home electrical system.

Level 1 A standard 120-volt wall outlet Ford describes it as suitable for topping up or for drivers traveling under 20 miles per day. Charging speed depends on the vehicle and setup.
Level 2 A home charging station; Ford’s listed Charge Station Pro and Connected Charge Station are hardwired Ford says hardwired units require professional installation. An electrician should assess the panel and proposed charger location. Charging time depends on the vehicle, battery, and equipment.

Ford’s charging information gives model-specific examples, but charging times should not be treated as universal: the vehicle, battery, and charging equipment affect the result.

What Ford’s past program figures do—and do not—show

In a 2025 report, Ford said more than 12,000 customers had received complimentary home chargers and standard installation in ten months. Ford also reported, using its internal data, that customers who used the complimentary charger and installation charged at home nearly 90% of the time in Hawaii, Wyoming, South Dakota, and Nebraska. Those are Ford-reported program figures, not independent evaluations or measures of all EV owners.

Ford’s earlier U.S. promotion ran July 8 through September 30, 2025, and offered either a complimentary station with installation or $500 in bonus cash; permits and fees were excluded. Those dates and terms are historical, not evidence of an October 2026 offer or a current cash alternative.
