The November 17, 2025 announcement creates another online sales channel; it does not show that Ford’s used-car sales have increased. The launch covers certified pre-owned Ford inventory, not used cars generally.
What Ford and Amazon announced
Ford said participating dealers could list Ford Blue Advantage CPO vehicles on Amazon Autos. Amazon’s announcement described thousands of vehicles available through the marketplace, but that is a company-reported listing count—not evidence of sales or an independent measure of vehicle quality. Ford’s announcement and Amazon’s announcement were both dated November 17, 2025.
The arrangement makes Amazon the online shopping channel, while the participating dealer remains responsible for the vehicle and retains a role in inventory, pricing, pickup, service and the customer relationship. It is not an Amazon-owned-car sale.
Where shoppers can find Ford CPO listings
Ford named Los Angeles, Seattle and Dallas as the initial markets, with more markets planned. Those launch cities are not a current availability map: shoppers need to check the live Amazon Autos marketplace for participating inventory near them. Amazon says listings are location-dependent, with vehicles shown from participating inventory within 75 miles.

How buying a Ford through Amazon Autos works
Amazon describes an online process for choosing a vehicle and payment route, completing available financing and paperwork, then scheduling pickup at the dealership. Its How Amazon Autos Works page outlines the steps; the dealer—not Amazon—handles the vehicle handoff. Amazon’s dealer FAQ says dealers control inventory and pricing.
- Browse local Ford Blue Advantage listings and choose a vehicle.
- Select an available payment route, such as financing or paying in full; the platform also describes leasing as an option where available.
- Complete the online financing and purchase paperwork offered for that listing.
- Schedule pickup with the participating dealership and collect the vehicle there.
Online steps do not remove the need to review the specific listing, confirm its terms with the dealer and inspect the vehicle before accepting it.
What Ford Blue Advantage certification includes
Amazon’s launch announcement described three Ford Blue Advantage tiers. Inspection counts and warranty coverage differ by tier:
| Certification tier | Inspection described by Amazon | Limited warranty described by Amazon |
|---|---|---|
| Gold Certified | 172-point inspection | 12 months or 12,000 miles, whichever comes first |
| EV Certified | 127-point inspection | 12 months or 12,000 miles of comprehensive limited coverage, whichever comes first |
| Blue Certified | 90-point inspection | 90 days or 4,000 miles, whichever comes first |
Amazon said each tier includes roadside assistance. Its launch announcement also described a 14-day or 1,000-mile money-back guarantee, whichever comes first, for Ford dealer CPO vehicles sold on Amazon Autos. These are the terms reported at launch, not a substitute for the current terms attached to an individual listing. Check the vehicle’s listing and Ford’s current program details before committing. Amazon’s announcement also says listings include itemized pricing, vehicle specifications, vehicle history, and service-history or condition information.

Certification is one part of the decision. Compare the details that affect the vehicle’s condition, cost and fit:
- Tier and coverage: Confirm the certification tier and the warranty’s limits and exclusions in the listing’s current terms.
- Total price: Review itemized pricing and ask the dealer about any fees not shown or not clearly explained.
- Vehicle condition: Check the history and service information alongside age, mileage and the listing’s specifications.
- Financing: Compare the available online offer with other financing options, including the full cost over the loan term.
- Availability: Confirm that the vehicle remains available and that pickup arrangements work for you; inventory varies by participating dealer and location.
The inspection counts and protections above are Ford program descriptions reported by Amazon, not independent tests of vehicle quality. A certification tier is useful information, but it should not replace reviewing the specific car and its history.

No sales result is established by the announcements cited here. Ford’s move gives participating dealers a new online channel intended to broaden how shoppers find and buy Ford CPO vehicles. Whether it boosts sales depends on customer demand, dealer participation and local inventory; the launch itself does not demonstrate an increase.
