Ford announced the Megazilla 2.0 as a supercharged 7.3-liter V8 crate engine, with projected output of more than 1,000 horsepower. Ford said it expected the engine to be available to order through dealers or Ford Performance Parts in Q4 2025. As of October 4, 2026, the official sources cited here do not confirm a current Megazilla 2.0 price, part number, order status or inventory. The $25,295 price shown by Ford is for the original Megazilla, not the 2.0.
How much does the Megazilla 2.0 cost?
Ford has not published a confirmed Megazilla 2.0 price in the official sources available here. The Ford Performance Parts listing at M-6007-MZ73 displays a retail price of $25,295, but that is the original, naturally aspirated Megazilla. It is not a 2.0 price.

For a current quote, ask a Ford dealer or Ford Performance Parts to confirm the 2.0’s price and whether it can be ordered. Ford’s original ordering announcement named those channels, but does not establish today’s order status.
Is the Megazilla 2.0 available to order?
Ford Performance announced on January 30, 2025 that the engine was expected to be available to order in Q4 2025 through a local Ford dealer or Ford Performance Parts. That was Ford’s announced plan, not confirmation that ordering opened or that stock is now available. The sources cited here do not verify current orderability, inventory or lead time as of October 4, 2026.

What Ford announced about the Megazilla 2.0
Ford describes the Megazilla 2.0 as a supercharged 7.3-liter V8 crate engine. Its announcement says the combination includes a Gen 6 3.0-liter Whipple supercharger, forged pistons and connecting rods, a steel crank, ported and polished cylinder heads, and upgraded valve springs. Ford projected output of more than 1,000 horsepower; it did not present that figure as the result of an independent dyno test or a final certified rating.
Ford’s announcement, “New Megazilla, Coyote Crate Engines Deliver More On- and Off-Road Power”, published January 30, 2025, calls it “the new supercharged 7.3-liter Megazilla 2.0 engine.”

The original Megazilla and the announced 2.0 are distinct products. The figures and price below come from Ford’s original-engine product listing and its separate 2.0 announcement; they are not a controlled head-to-head test.

Ford’s original-engine listing also states that it produces more than 500 lb-ft from 2,500 to 6,000 rpm. Do not apply that torque range or the original engine’s published output to the 2.0.
Fitment, controls and road-use cautions
The original Megazilla listing describes a Ford 4.6/5.4 and Coyote 5.0L bellhousing bolt pattern, and points to 7.3L control packs M-6017-73M and M-6017-73A. It also identifies starter M-11000-SD73, FEAD kits M-8600-SD73 and M-8600-SD73AC, and says custom calibration is required. These are details for the original engine listing, not confirmed Megazilla 2.0 instructions. Ask Ford to confirm 2.0 fitment, control-pack and calibration requirements, included components, and warranty before choosing parts.
Ford’s original Megazilla listing says that engine is intended for competition or off-highway use and warns against installation in a vehicle driven on public roads or highways because it is likely to violate U.S. and Canadian emissions laws and regulations. The announcement reviewed does not separately establish how that warning applies to the 2.0. Check with Ford and the relevant federal, state, provincial and local authorities before treating the original listing’s warning as 2.0-specific legal guidance.
