FLECTR’s CargoMate is a removable front bicycle rack that clamps around the handlebar and stem without tools or permanent fork fittings. The maker lists a 5 kg recommended maximum load, a handlebar diameter range of 22.2–35.0 mm, and a €99 price. Fit depends on cockpit shape and clearance, and the product page still says preorder despite a stated shipping start date of September 21, 2026; current dispatch timing is unclear.
How CargoMate attaches and comes off
FLECTR describes CargoMate as a one-piece stainless-steel trapezoidal frame with a fabric cover. It mounts at the handlebar and stem, rather than using a special frame or fork attachment. The installation is described as tool-free, and the company says setup takes about 30 seconds and removal takes seconds. Those times are manufacturer claims, not independently timed results.
New Atlas’s May 6, 2025 article describes two rubberized hooks over the handlebar, a strap joining the hooks beneath the stem, and another strap around the steerer area. Will CargoMate fit your bike?
FLECTR lists a handlebar diameter range of 22.2–35.0 mm. Diameter alone is not enough to confirm compatibility: the mounting area must also have the right shape and room around the stem.

- Check the stem: the company lists a bike without a stem as a no-go.
- Check cockpit clearance: the maker says there must be free space beside the stem.
- For sensitive carbon handlebars or unusual cockpits: review the official fit drawing and ask FLECTR if the fit is uncertain. The company says soft handlebar protectors are included, but that does not replace checking compatibility.

Load limit, dimensions and included parts
FLECTR recommends a maximum load of 5 kg. Treat that as the manufacturer’s stated limit; there is no independent load or stability test established here. The rating makes CargoMate a small-load rack, not a heavy-duty cargo carrier.

FLECTR’s collection page lists CargoMate at €99, while the product page offers frame and cover color choices and still labels the rack a preorder. Its shipping note says shipping will not begin before September 21, 2026. That date has passed, but the available listing information does not establish whether orders are now dispatching. FLECTR’s product page lists an ISPO Award 2025 and German Design Award 2026; those award claims were not independently verified here. The Kickstarter campaign by The Outsider Team reported €95,771 pledged by 979 backers against an €11,500 goal during its May 6–June 12, 2025 funding period. Those are campaign figures, not sales totals or evidence of product performance.
