Its published range and equipment are appealing on paper, but historical prices and a low asking price cannot settle the practical risks of buying a vehicle from a company that entered Chapter 11 proceedings in 2024.
What is the Fisker Ocean?
The Ocean is a five-passenger, fully electric crossover SUV. Fisker’s U.S. lineup included Sport, Ultra and Extreme configurations; the company’s later European Final Edition guide also refers to Extreme/One. Those are different contexts: the Final Edition was a limited, preconfigured offer, not a replacement description of every historical U.S.-market Ocean.
Fisker GmbH i.L.’s Final Edition sales guide, version 12.2025, describes the vehicle as “Fully electric crossover SUV with that extra something for everyday use – designed in California. Made in Austria.” That is the seller’s promotional description, rather than an independent assessment.
Fisker Ocean range and specifications
Range figures depend on market and test cycle. The Final Edition guide’s figures are calculated WLTP ranges; Edmunds lists a separate EPA figure for the 2024 U.S. Sport. They are not directly comparable as if they were measured under the same test or for identical configurations.

The WLTP figures belong to the Final Edition guide and should not be treated as a promise of real-world range for a used vehicle. Actual range depends on the specific car and its conditions of use; the figures above do not establish what a particular used Ocean will achieve.
Equipment and software depend on which Ocean you are viewing
The December 2025 Final Edition guide describes a 17.1-inch rotating touchscreen and California Mode, and notes roof-configuration differences. It lists OS 2.6 and Android Auto and Apple CarPlay hardware/software functionality for Final Edition vehicles. It also describes a four-year OceanLoop service subscription through OVLoop. Those statements apply to the edition and bundle described in that guide; they do not establish the software, functioning equipment or remaining subscription term of another used Ocean.

What did a Fisker Ocean cost new?
Edmunds lists the following original U.S. MSRP figures for the 2024 Ocean. They are historical sticker prices, not current used-market values.

These figures do not tell you what an Ocean is worth today. Edmunds also displays an estimated market value, but that page-specific estimate should not be generalized to every vehicle or local market. The reviewed sources do not establish a robust current used-price range or completed-sale data. Compare asking prices in the same country and at the same time, matching trim, mileage, condition and title history.

Do not confuse the European Final Edition offer with a used-car price
The version 12.2025 Final Edition guide describes preconfigured vehicles offered in Germany, Austria and right-hand-drive UK markets. It says retrofit work addresses affected recall parts and cited known issues, and that spare-parts supply is subject to availability. These are seller statements about those specific offered vehicles, not independently verified coverage for every VIN or a general assurance about parts access.
What recalls should a used-Ocean buyer check?
Check the vehicle identification number (VIN) in NHTSA’s recall lookup and ask for documentation showing the remedy completed on that particular car. A recall applying to a model or model year does not prove that a specific vehicle received the repair or update.

Edmunds’ page lists four recalls and summarizes the water-pump, unintended-movement, brake-software and exterior-door-handle issues. Use that as secondary context, not a substitute for the VIN-specific NHTSA record and campaign documentation.

Fisker’s Chapter 11 cases began in June 2024, a material part of the Ocean’s ownership context. The bankruptcy filing by itself does not prove that every warranty, repair, parts or connectivity arrangement has ended—or that any of them will be available for a particular vehicle. Check the specific car and your country rather than assuming either outcome.

Before committing, ask who will handle a repair, whether the needed parts can be obtained, what the applicable warranty documents actually cover, and whether connected functions or subscriptions are active and transferable. Treat answers as vehicle- and market-specific, and ask for written confirmation where possible.
Used Fisker Ocean inspection checklist
- Match the listing to the car. Confirm model year, trim, drivetrain, mileage, title history and included equipment from the vehicle documents, not just the advert. Do not assume a European Final Edition’s package applies to a historical U.S. model.
- Verify recalls by VIN. Check NHTSA’s VIN lookup for a U.S. vehicle, then request proof of completed remedies, especially for reports 24V-865 and 24V-499. For vehicles outside the U.S., check the relevant local recall authority and service records.
- Record the software and equipment status. Ask for the installed software version and demonstrate the functions advertised with the car. Do not infer that it has OS 2.6, smartphone integration, California Mode or an active OceanLoop subscription because a Final Edition guide lists those features.
- Arrange an independent inspection and test drive. Have a qualified EV technician inspect the actual vehicle and its service history. During a controlled test drive, check that the car selects gears as expected and that no warning or restricted-power condition appears. A clean dashboard or seller assurance is not a substitute for recall documentation or a diagnostic inspection.
- Check local support before agreeing a price. Contact service providers in your area about the specific repair needs and parts you may face; confirm any warranty or connected-service terms directly with the responsible provider.
- Compare like with like. Evaluate trim and drivetrain, relevant local range test cycle and wheel setup, software and connected services, recall records, mileage, condition, title and asking price against comparable local listings.
What can photos tell you?
Edmunds’ 2024 Fisker Ocean page includes an image/video section and a photo-gallery link. A gallery can help identify the cabin layout and visible equipment, but it does not establish the condition, software version, recall status or exact trim of a car offered for sale. Ask the seller for current, vehicle-specific images and verify important equipment and condition in person or through an inspection.
