Ferrari publishes a top speed of more than 350 km/h (about 217+ mph), putting it ahead of the Enzo at roughly 349–350 km/h. Several later Ferraris are tied at a published 340 km/h (211 mph), so a precise order among those cars would be misleading.

What the top two rankings really mean
LaFerrari: the clear published leader
Ferrari describes LaFerrari’s maximum speed as “over 350 km/h.” Because the specification is open-ended, it is more accurate to report it as greater than 350 km/h than to convert it into an invented exact number. Comparative lists often round the claim to 350 km/h, but that rounding should not hide Ferrari’s wording.

The Enzo appears as either 349 or 350 km/h in published tables. That difference reflects rounding and source convention, not a documented head-to-head gap. It remains second on the published figures used here, but the evidence does not justify claiming a one-kilometre-per-hour engineering advantage for either convention.

The 340 km/h group
At 340 km/h, Ferrari’s fastest recent road cars span very different designs. The figure is a tie in the published specifications, not proof that the cars would reach the same speed in identical conditions.
812 Competizione
This V12 special-series Ferrari prioritizes a high-revving naturally aspirated engine and two-seat berlinetta packaging. Its 340-km/h rating places it level with Ferrari’s hybrid and turbocharged flagships on straight-line specification.
SF90 Stradale
The SF90 Stradale uses a plug-in-hybrid system built around a twin-turbo V8. Its published top speed matches the 812 Competizione despite a fundamentally different powertrain and a greater emphasis on electrified performance.

Daytona SP3
The Daytona SP3 is an Icona model with a naturally aspirated V12 and limited production. Ferrari’s 2025 reporting says the model was phased out during 2025, so it should be treated as a collectible, completed series rather than a current-volume model.
F8 Tributo and F12berlinetta
The F8 Tributo represents Ferrari’s twin-turbo V8 berlinetta line, while the F12berlinetta is a naturally aspirated V12 grand tourer. Both carry the same published speed as the newer flagships, illustrating why top speed alone cannot show technological age or overall performance.
Ferrari 12Cilindri
The 12Cilindri is the current V12 family in this list. Its body style and market specification can change how listings identify the car, but the published figure remains 340 km/h.

Cars at 335 and 330 km/h
599 GTO, GTC4Lusso V12 and Ferrari FF
These three V12 cars are published at 335 km/h. The 599 GTO is a limited, two-seat performance model; the GTC4Lusso V12 and FF combine high speed with four-seat, long-distance practicality. Their equal catalog figure does not make their missions interchangeable.

Ferrari’s 296 GTB history page states that the car exceeds 330 km/h. Comparative listings place the 296 GTB and retractable-hardtop 296 GTS in the same 330-km/h-or-above bracket. The official wording supports “above 330 km/h” for the GTB rather than a more precise number.
488 GTB
The 488 GTB is a twin-turbo V8 berlinetta with a published 330 km/h maximum. It sits in the same broad speed tier as the 296 family while using a non-electrified powertrain.

Top speed versus lap time
A car’s maximum speed and its circuit pace answer different questions. Top speed is a straight-line limit affected by gearing, aerodynamic drag, tires, weather, fuel load and measurement method. A lap time also depends on braking, cornering grip, traction, downforce and the driver’s consistency.
Ferrari announced that the SF90 XX Stradale set a 1:17.309 road-car lap at Fiorano in November 2023, calling it the fastest-ever lap of Fiorano by a road car at that announcement. That record does not change the top-speed ranking: the SF90 XX’s circuit result and the SF90 Stradale’s 340-km/h catalog figure are separate measures, and no comparable top-speed number was published for the XX model.

- Current-family choice: The Ferrari 12Cilindri is the current V12 family represented here. The 296 GTB/GTS are the modern V6 plug-in-hybrid family in the list.
- Limited or special cars: LaFerrari, Enzo, 812 Competizione, Daytona SP3 and 599 GTO were limited or special-series products, so availability today is primarily a used-market or collector question.
- Phased-out models: Ferrari’s 2025 report identifies the Daytona SP3, SF90 Spider and 812 Competizione A as phased out during 2025. That status is distinct from the coupe entries ranked above.
- Special Series versus standard range: The same report identifies SF90 XX models and 296 Speciale variants as Special Series. A special-series derivative should not automatically be substituted for the standard model’s published top-speed specification.
Why published figures do not settle every speed contest
- Different sources round speeds differently, as the Enzo’s 349–350 km/h listings demonstrate.
- Independent tests use different tires, fuel loads, weather, gearing conditions and speed-measurement methods.
- A Spider, Aperta, Competizione A or other derivative may have a different aerodynamic setup or limiter from the related coupe.
- A 340-km/h tie is a specification tie, not evidence that every car reaches exactly 340 km/h in the same test.
For the question “Which Ferrari has the highest published road-car top speed?”, the answer is LaFerrari. For the broader question “Which Ferrari is fastest on a circuit?”, top speed is insufficient; the available Fiorano evidence points to a separate track-performance conversation.
