The FAMEL E-XF is an electric motorcycle inspired by the Portuguese brand’s classic XF-17. It is offered as a single-seat Café Racer and a two-seat Classic. FAMEL lists up to 120 km of range, a 100 km/h top speed and a €7,000 estimated retail price, but those are manufacturer-published figures—not independently verified road-test results. The delivery dates announced for early 2026 were forecasts, and the available sources do not confirm whether deliveries took place.
How the E-XF brings back the XF-17
FAMEL’s E-XF is a modern electric interpretation of the XF-17, rather than a restoration of the original motorcycle. According to the company’s brand history, the E-XF proof of concept took shape in 2021, the model was unveiled in 2022, and the Café Racer and Classic entered production in 2025.
The E-XF Café Racer’s design cues and single-seat layout give it a café-racer identity, while its electric drivetrain distinguishes it from the original model. FAMEL describes the machine as a one-seat motorcycle with sports handlebars and a forward-leaning riding posture. Its published equipment list includes LED lighting, an LCD display, CBS braking and a USB charging port in the tank area.

What the performance figures do—and do not—tell you
“Up to 120 km” is a claimed maximum, not a guarantee of the distance every rider will cover. The published material does not state test conditions, so it cannot establish how speed, load, route or other riding conditions affect range. Similarly, the 4–5-hour charging figure is an estimate, not an independently measured result. Treat the listed top speed and weight as manufacturer-published specifications rather than road-test findings.
Café Racer or Classic: which E-XF fits?
Start with seating and handlebar position. The Café Racer is designed for one rider and uses sports handlebars; the Classic seats two and has raised handlebars. Those are the clearest stated differences between the versions.

FAMEL’s configurator gives both versions the same headline performance claims. Because these are manufacturer estimates and no comparative testing is published, they should not be read as proof that the models perform identically in real use.

When accessed in 2026, FAMEL’s English configurator displayed a €7,000 estimated retail price and a €6,500 ambassador-edition price limited to Portugal. It also showed €600 due at reservation and estimated delivery in the first half of 2026. These are the configurator’s displayed terms, not confirmation of current pricing, stock or delivery timing.

Separately, Portugal Global reported in 2025 that FAMEL planned to deliver the first 100 E-XF units in early 2026. That was a schedule, not a verified delivery tally. The available sources do not establish whether those deliveries occurred. Check FAMEL’s live order page for current terms before making a purchase decision.
