No. There was no verified 2025 Suzuki Mehran launch in Pakistan. Soch Fact Check traced one widely circulated claim to an article published on March 30, 2025, which stated that a new Mehran had been unveiled. Its review found several warning signs:
- The vehicle shown did not match the historic Mehran or Pak Suzuki’s known locally sold models.
- The number plate in one image reportedly carried the word “Saran,” rather than identifying a genuine Suzuki Pakistan vehicle.
- The images appeared to be AI-generated rather than official product photography.
- Pak Suzuki management denied that a new Mehran was in development or that the company planned to bring the model back.
Reports from Soch Fact Check, ProPakistani, and Aaj English in April 2025 all pointed to the same conclusion: the comeback claim was false.

Is the Mehran in Suzuki Pakistan’s current lineup?

Were the rumored prices real?
No. The reported PKR 1.2–1.6 million range—or similar figures circulated online—should be treated as speculation, not as a launch price or manufacturer estimate.
A genuine price claim would normally be supported by an official price circular, booking form, dealer notice, or company product page. None was provided with the alleged 2025 Mehran announcement. Because there was no verified launch, there was also no genuine reservation price, variant price, or official starting price to report.
How to spot a fake or misleading car-launch post

- Verify the variants and prices. VX, VXR, and VXL labels may sound plausible because they resemble real Suzuki trim names, but familiar terminology does not make a claim official.
- Check independent reporting. Reliable automotive coverage should identify the company source and distinguish confirmed information from speculation.
In this case, the visual mismatch, the apparent AI-generated imagery, the absence of the model from Suzuki Pakistan’s official lineup, and the company denial all supported the conclusion that the claim was false.
Could Suzuki bring the Mehran back in the future?

What can buyers do if they still want a Mehran?
Anyone buying a Mehran in Pakistan is looking at a used vehicle, not a new 2025 model. Used Mehrans may still appear in the secondary market because of the model’s popularity and relatively simple mechanical design, but each car’s condition depends heavily on its age, maintenance history, previous use, and repair quality.
Before buying an older Mehran, a purchaser should verify:
- the registration and ownership documents;
- the chassis and engine numbers;
- the vehicle’s accident and corrosion history;
- engine smoke, oil leaks, overheating, and unusual noises;
- clutch, gearbox, suspension, steering, and brake condition;
- electrical equipment and air-conditioning operation;
