EA’s “Race Your Way” deep dive for F1 25 focuses on three reverse circuit layouts, changes to AI behavior, and a revamped My Team mode. The game launched May 30, 2025, for PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC. That launch-era feature announcement is distinct from EA’s current storefront, which also presents a 2026 Season Edition and a separate 2026 Season Pack.
What’s new in F1 25?
The deep dive’s headline feature is a set of reverse versions of Silverstone, Zandvoort, and the Red Bull Ring. EA also describes adjustments to AI overtaking behavior, a redesigned My Team experience, and the return of Braking Point for a third installment. These are EA’s descriptions of the game’s features, not independent performance assessments.

How do the reverse tracks work?
Silverstone, Zandvoort, and the Red Bull Ring can be driven in reverse in Grand Prix, Time Trial, and Multiplayer. Players can add the layouts to My Team and Driver Career from the second season onward. EA’s Race Your Way deep dive says the work involved more than reversing the route: the team adjusted AI behavior and trackside details, including brake boards, start lights, replay cameras, grid boxes, marshals, and flag wavers.
Separately, Formula 1’s launch announcement says Bahrain, Miami, Melbourne, Suzuka, and Imola were digitally scanned using LiDAR for the game, following Silverstone’s debut in F1 24. Formula 1 says the scans covered a race weekend and helped represent details such as surface and kerb heights. That is the publisher’s account of the scanning process, not an independent accuracy test. Formula 1’s launch announcement has more detail.

What changed with AI and the 2025 rules?
EA says it tuned AI drivers to better reflect how they overtake one another and players, following pre-release trials with skilled players. The claim describes the developer’s goal; the announcement does not provide an independently measured comparison of AI behavior.
The deep dive also identifies two 2025 rule changes represented in the game: a mandatory two-stop rule for Monaco and removal of the fastest-lap point. EA presents these as features of the game’s 2025 ruleset; the announcement does not establish how each rule applies across every mode. The deep dive is the source for both the AI and rules details.

What is different about My Team 2.0?
In My Team 2.0, the player takes the team-owner role rather than simply managing a single driver’s career. EA’s FAQ describes responsibilities across areas such as Engineering, Personnel, and Corporate. Players recruit and manage two drivers, then choose which one to control during race weekends. EA calls it a major overhaul of the mode introduced in F1 2020. The same FAQ also covers Driver Career, F1 World activities, and APXGP content. Read EA’s F1 25 FAQ.
How does Braking Point fit in?
Braking Point returns for a third installment. At launch, EA described it as a two-season story set at fictional team Konnersport, told through multiple driver perspectives and with alternate endings. The launch materials also describe an APXGP preview chapter for Iconic Edition purchasers, with additional scenarios sold separately beginning June 30, 2025. Those are launch-era details, not a statement that an offer is currently available. EA’s May 30, 2025 launch announcement details the story content and edition offer.

When did F1 25 launch, and what is available now?
F1 25 launched on May 30, 2025, for PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC. Its launch announcements and preorder bonuses describe the 2025 release window; do not treat them as current offers. In 2026, EA’s live product page presents a 2026 Season Edition with 2026 roster and circuit content, as well as a separate 2026 Season Pack. Some 2026 content requires the base game, updates, internet access, and an EA account, and EA says some content is not included in the base game. Check the edition and platform listing offered in your region: a live product page does not establish local retailer stock or whether a listing is a physical copy or digital entitlement. EA’s current F1 25 product page shows its present product presentation.
