The Hummer EV’s combined pickup-and-SUV tally of 4,508 was higher than the Tesla Cybertruck’s 4,306, but that Cybertruck figure is an analyst estimate and GM’s Hummer total is not pickup-only. The comparison therefore does not establish that the Hummer EV Pickup outsold the Cybertruck.
Which electric pickup sold the most in Q2 2025?
The F-150 Lightning ranked first among the model-level electric-pickup figures in the U.S. comparison, according to GM Authority’s Q2 2025 analysis. The Cybertruck and Rivian R1T counts are estimates because Tesla and Rivian do not break out those models’ sales. The Hummer EV figure combines the pickup and SUV.
| Model or reported line | Q2 2025 units | Year-over-year change | Count qualification |
|---|---|---|---|
| Ford F-150 Lightning | 5,842 | Down 26.07% | Model-level figure in GM Authority’s comparison |
| Tesla Cybertruck | 4,306 | Down 46.18% | Analyst estimate; Tesla’s cited release does not provide a Cybertruck-specific count |
| GMC Hummer EV | 4,508 | Not stated | Combined Hummer EV Pickup and Hummer EV SUV tally |
| Chevrolet Silverado EV | 3,056 | Up 39.16% | Model-level figure in GM Authority’s comparison |
| Rivian R1T | 1,752 | Down 20.80% | Analyst estimate; Rivian does not break out this model’s sales |
| GMC Sierra EV | 1,524 | Not stated | Model-level figure in GM Authority’s comparison |

Did the Hummer EV outsell the Cybertruck?
By the reported line-item totals, yes: 4,508 Hummer EV deliveries exceeded the Cybertruck estimate of 4,306 by 202. But those figures are not like-for-like. GM’s Hummer EV total includes both the pickup and SUV, whereas the Cybertruck estimate refers to the truck model. The evidence supports saying the combined Hummer EV line topped the Cybertruck estimate—not that the Hummer EV Pickup alone outsold it.

How did the Lightning and Cybertruck change from Q2 2024?
Both were down year over year in the comparison, with the estimated Cybertruck decline larger. Lightning volume fell from 7,902 in Q2 2024 to 5,842 in Q2 2025, a 26.07% decrease. Cybertruck’s estimated count fell from 8,000 to 4,306, down 46.18%. The Silverado EV moved in the opposite direction, rising 39.16% to 3,056; the estimated R1T count declined 20.80% to 1,752.
The five model-level electric pickups in the comparison—Lightning, Cybertruck, Silverado EV, R1T and Sierra EV—totaled 16,480 deliveries, down 18.86% from 20,310 in Q2 2024. The combined Hummer EV tally is reported separately and should not be treated as a pickup-only contribution to that model-level pickup comparison.

Why broader company sales do not change this ranking
Ford reported 612,095 U.S. vehicle sales in Q2 2025, up 14.2%, and 222,459 F-Series sales. F-Series covers a broader lineup and multiple powertrains, so neither figure is the Lightning’s electric-pickup count; the comparison’s Lightning figure is 5,842. Ford also reported 82,886 electrified-vehicle sales, up 6.6%, a company category rather than a Lightning-only result. See Ford’s Q2 2025 U.S. sales release.
General Motors said its U.S. sales grew 7% and its EV sales grew more than 100% year over year in Q2 2025. Those company-level results do not identify sales for an individual electric pickup. GM’s Q2 2025 sales release provides that broader context; the model comparison supplies the pickup ranking.
