Chevrolet’s U.S. lineup page lists four truck families for the 2026 model year: Colorado, Silverado, Silverado HD and Silverado EV. A separate page describes a next-generation 2027 Silverado as preproduction and available late 2026, so it is forthcoming—not confirmed as an in-stock truck buyers can take home today. Chevrolet’s displayed starting prices are model-page figures, not out-the-door prices; taxes, destination, dealer charges, options and availability affect the final cost. Figures below reflect Chevrolet’s U.S. pages reviewed October 8, 2026.

2026 Chevy truck models
Colorado: the midsize pickup
The 2026 Colorado is Chevrolet’s midsize truck, with six trims and a 2.7L TurboMax engine rated at 310 horsepower and 430 lb-ft of torque. Chevrolet lists up to 7,700 lb of available trailering capacity. Available features include a 120-volt bed outlet, bed lighting, a built-in tailgate measurement tool and trailering equipment. The WT trim has a displayed starting price of $32,400; equipment and trim change the price. Check the 2026 Colorado page for current trim and equipment details.
Silverado: the full-size light-duty pickup
The 2026 Silverado is the full-size light-duty option. Chevrolet’s lineup page lists up to 13,300 lb maximum trailering, 495 lb-ft maximum torque and 2,260 lb maximum payload, with a displayed starting price of $37,200. Those are page-level maximums, not ratings that apply to every Silverado; verify the exact configuration and its vehicle-specific ratings before matching it to a trailer or load.

What about the 2027 Silverado?
Chevrolet also promotes a next-generation 2027 Silverado on a separate page. It displays a $38,600 starting price and up to 13,700 lb of maximum available trailering, but Chevrolet labels the pictured vehicles preproduction and says the truck is available late 2026. That wording does not establish current customer deliveries or inventory, so treat it as forthcoming rather than a confirmed choice available to buy today. Its figures are distinct from the 2026 Silverado figures above. See Chevrolet’s next-generation 2027 Silverado page for its stated timing and qualifications.

How to choose the right Chevy truck for the job
- Start with size and workload. The Colorado is midsize; Silverado is full-size light-duty; Silverado HD is the heavy-duty family. Match the truck to the cargo, trailer and regular use—not simply the biggest published towing number.
- Compare the powertrain you need. Silverado and Silverado HD offer gasoline and, on HD, an available diesel option described above; Silverado EV is battery-electric. Consider fuel or charging access alongside capability.
- Check the exact configuration. Towing and payload depend on the truck’s engine, cab, bed and equipment. Confirm the vehicle-specific rating for the truck you are considering and the trailer or load you intend to carry.
- Compare total purchase cost and timing. Displayed starting prices are not out-the-door totals. Options, destination, taxes, dealer charges and local availability can change what you pay. Keep the forthcoming 2027 Silverado separate from the 2026 lineup when comparing prices.
