The 2500 figures are listed on Ram’s 2025 Ram 2500 4×2 engine performance page. Torque is a separate measure from horsepower and does not change the ranking shown here.
Which 2025 Ram engines are not ranked here?
3.6L Pentastar V6 eTorque
The Pentastar V6 eTorque appears among the 2025 Ram 1500 engine configurations in Mopar’s 2025 Ram 1500 trims and engines listing. The official material collected for this comparison does not establish its horsepower, so assigning it a rank or borrowing a rating from another model year would be unsupported.

Ram 3500 pickup configurations
Stellantis says the 2500 and 3500 Heavy Duty trucks share the HEMI and Cummins engine families in its January 7, 2025 Heavy Duty announcement. That does not establish that every 3500 pickup configuration carries the same published horsepower rating as the 2500 4×2. Check the specification for the exact 3500 configuration rather than extending the 2500 figures to the whole lineup.
Ram Chassis Cab ratings describe commercial chassis vehicles, not pickups. They are not included in this pickup ranking; Ram’s 2025 Ram Chassis Cab capability page covers those vehicles separately.

What the ranking does—and does not—tell you
On confirmed horsepower alone, the 1500 Hurricane High Output leads, followed by the 2500 4×2 Cummins, the 1500 standard-output Hurricane and the 2500 4×2 HEMI. The figures come from different truck models and applications, so this is a comparison of published engine ratings, not a like-for-like test of complete vehicles.
Horsepower by itself does not establish which engine is best for towing, fuel economy, reliability or daily use. Those decisions require configuration-specific capability information and evidence suited to each question; the ratings above do not settle them.
