Escapod lists a Küat rack, a swing-away hitch, workshop gear and a first-aid kit alongside the trailer’s camping systems. The manufacturer’s page displayed a price of $53,990 when accessed in 2026, but buyers should confirm the current price and configuration directly with Escapod. “Ultimate” is best understood as a product-positioning hook, not a verified ranking: no independent head-to-head test of the MTB edition against competing bike-camping trailers is established here.
What is the Escapod TOPO2 MTB?
The TOPO2 MTB is a bike-focused package built on the TOPO2 Voyager foundation, according to Escapod. Its main distinction is the equipment for carrying bikes and handling repairs at camp, rather than a different trailer body. Escapod presents the TOPO2 as a single-piece fiberglass, insulated, all-season trailer; those are manufacturer descriptions, not independent tests of performance in every climate.

The MTB page describes a configuration with 21 gallons of water, heat and a medical kit. It also lists a 264 Ah lithium-ion battery, a 2,000-watt pure-sine inverter and a MaxxFan Deluxe. Escapod’s broader TOPO2 materials state an R:9 insulation rating and advertise a five-year warranty covering materials and craftsmanship. The full warranty terms and the definition or test basis for the insulation rating are not established by those headline claims.
What comes with the TOPO2 MTB?
Escapod’s published MTB configuration includes bike transport, workshop and recovery-oriented accessories, plus the following listed components. Confirm the exact build sheet and any revisions with Escapod before ordering.

- Hitch and access: Escapod Switchback Hitch and hitch accessory kit. Escapod says the hitch swings away to allow galley access with bikes mounted and has three locking positions. The accessory plate is described as intended for water storage with a RotopaX mount.
- Workshop equipment: Feedback Sports Team Edition Tool Kit and Slide Lock Clamp Head.
- Water storage accessory: RotopaX Pack Mount and One Gallon Container.
- Medical kit: MPA Supply WHACK Pro First Aid Kit.
- Other listed configuration items: Vision 349 Savage 17-inch wheels and General Grabber X3 tires.
These are manufacturer-listed inclusions; they should not be read as independent inspection or testing of the components.
Can the rack carry two e-bikes?
Escapod says the included Küat Piston ION rack can carry two e-bikes rated at 80 lb each, but its page also warns that capacity is reduced for RV-compatible travel. The page does not state the reduced limit. Before loading, check the exact rack rating for the intended mode of travel with Küat and Escapod, then compare it with each bike’s actual weight and any relevant rack or hitch limits. Do not assume the 80 lb-per-bike figure applies while towing.
Escapod’s claimed swing-away access may make it possible to reach the galley with bikes still mounted, but buyers should confirm how the loaded rack and hitch operate on their specific configuration.
How does the MTB differ from the TOPO2 Voyager?
Escapod identifies the MTB as an MTB-specific upgrade on the Voyager foundation. Its defining additions are the rack and bike-access hitch, Feedback Sports repair gear, RotopaX equipment and first-aid kit. The available official material does not provide a complete, current side-by-side specification or price comparison for MTB, Voyager and Nomad trims, so the MTB package should not be assumed to include every possible Voyager option or to have a particular price premium over it.

How much does the Escapod TOPO2 MTB cost?
Escapod’s MTB page displayed $53,990 when accessed in 2026. The page directs prospective buyers to Escapod’s sales team because the MTB was not on the standard builder page. Treat that figure as a point-in-time manufacturer listing, not a current written quote. Confirm availability and whether the quoted build includes the equipment shown, as well as freight or delivery, taxes, options and any current promotions.
Independent reader supportYour contribution helps us test, update, and keep practical guides available for everyone. What are the TOPO2’s dimensions, clearance and towing figures?
Escapod’s performance page gives general TOPO2 dimensions of 7 feet wide by 13 feet long and says the Freeride Suspension provides five inches of independent travel per side. Its ground-clearance information conflicts with the company’s other official pages: the performance page says 21 inches, while the TOPO2 overview and MTB page say 23 inches. Those pages do not explain whether the difference reflects trim, measurement method or a page inconsistency. Ask Escapod to confirm the clearance and measurement basis for the exact MTB build.
The sources cited here do not establish a current MTB-specific dry or loaded weight, or a tongue-weight figure. A third-party statement reproduced on Escapod’s press page says the TOPO2 generally weighs 2,000 pounds, but it is not a verified weight for the MTB trim and should not be used to decide whether a particular vehicle can tow it. Obtain the MTB’s current loaded weight, tongue weight, braking and hitch requirements, and verify them against the tow vehicle’s ratings before purchase.

Escapod describes the Freeride Suspension as proprietary, patented and standard on every TOPO2. It also says the battery, water storage and heating are enclosed within the insulated body. These are manufacturer claims; they do not establish independent reliability, handling or all-weather performance.
What should buyers verify before ordering?
- Get a written, current price and build sheet, including delivery, taxes, selected options and any package revisions.
- Confirm the rack’s applicable capacity for the intended travel mode, especially when towing with bikes mounted.
- Request MTB-specific loaded weight and tongue weight, and check the tow vehicle, hitch and braking limits.
- Ask Escapod to resolve the 21-inch versus 23-inch ground-clearance discrepancy for the exact build.
- Review the written warranty terms rather than relying only on the five-year headline.
- Confirm delivery arrangements, service support and availability for the buyer’s location.
How strong is the case for calling it an “ultimate” bike-camping trailer?
The equipment list makes the MTB a clearly bike-oriented version of the TOPO2, particularly for riders who want a dedicated rack and repair tools integrated into their trailer package. That does not establish that it is the best option for every rider or better than competing trailers. A press page from Escapod reproduces favorable general TOPO2 comments from outlets including Expedition Portal and The Manual, but neither quoted assessment is a comparative test of the MTB trim. Buyers should weigh its bundled gear and camping systems against the price, tow-vehicle fit and the exact specifications confirmed for their own build.
