Eli’s U.S. support page still carries an expected first-quarter 2025 sales start and says availability varies by state or city; it does not establish whether buyers can order one now.
What the Eli ZERO is
Eli describes the U.S. ZERO as a low-speed vehicle (LSV), also called a neighborhood electric vehicle (NEV). The company lists two seats and a top speed of 25 mph, placing it in a different use case from a highway-speed passenger car. Eli markets it for daily urban trips and short commutes.
The specifications below are published by Eli, not independently verified test results.

Is $11,900 the current U.S. price?
The available sources do not confirm $11,900 as a current U.S. price. A 2020 Eli offering memorandum filed with the SEC listed a U.S. starting price of $11,990. That is historical company disclosure, not a present-day offer or evidence of what a vehicle would cost delivered.
A separate 2024 SEC-filed company document described limited sales in the EU and U.S. pilot sales as planned. Neither document establishes today’s U.S. retail price. The sources also do not say whether a current price includes delivery or destination charges, or whether $11,900 is offered in any U.S. market. Can U.S. buyers order one now?
Eli’s U.S. reservation guidance says availability varies by state or city. It also says a reservation is not an order: an authorized dealer is supposed to contact the buyer when the vehicle is ready for purchase and configuration. The page retains a first-quarter 2025 expected sales start and is marked as updated two years ago. That dated expectation does not confirm current orders, deliveries or dealer inventory.
Contact Eli or an authorized local dealer to verify whether the ZERO is available where you live, whether reservations are being accepted, and what steps lead to a completed purchase. Eli support: “When will I receive my Eli ZERO?”

What street-legal means for this low-speed vehicle
Eli says the ZERO adheres to FMVSS 500 and is street-legal in all 50 states. That is the manufacturer’s statement; the sources do not independently verify it or spell out local operating rules. The listed 25 mph maximum speed means buyers should not treat the ZERO as a highway-speed car.
Before relying on it for regular travel, check the rules that apply to LSVs where you live and on the roads you plan to use. Compare posted speeds and route requirements with the vehicle’s 25 mph maximum, and confirm any local restrictions with the relevant authorities or dealer. Eli support: U.S. street legality
