That price and the specifications below come from a February 5, 2020 New Atlas report; they are historical, not a current offer or confirmation that the vehicle is still available.
What the Elektro Frosch camper includes
New Atlas described Berlin-based Elektro Frosch’s camping model as a road-legal L2E three-wheel moped with a pickup bed and seating for two. Its camping equipment was removable, so the vehicle could also be used as a small cargo hauler without the camper kit.
- A rooftop tent described as sleeping two.
- A sun shade.
- A folding, sliding camp kitchen fitted in the pickup bed, with a stove, dishes and cutlery.
The report does not identify the stove model or state the camper kit’s weight.
Big and Pro: the reported 2020 prices and differences
New Atlas reported the following prices on February 5, 2020, and said listed prices included 19% VAT. The approximate US-dollar figures were conversions in that report, not today’s prices.

Because the kit’s weight was not given, the reported payload and vehicle weight are not enough to calculate how much cargo capacity remains with the camping equipment installed.
Where this tiny electric camper makes sense
The reported 25-mph top speed, 37-mile stated range and six-to-eight-hour charge time point toward short local trips, not highway travel or a long-distance road trip. New Atlas’s assessment was that it might suit a nearby campground, particularly where charging is available. That is a use-case judgment based on the published figures, not a road-test result.

New Atlas also characterized the vehicle as a potential small urban cargo transporter, citing the reported 1,157-lb payload. Actual suitability depends on the load, configuration and applicable local rules. The report’s description of the vehicle as road-legal does not establish licensing, registration or road-use requirements for any particular jurisdiction.

The headline figure refers to the open-air Big with its camping kit, priced at €3,990 and converted to approximately US$4,400 in the February 2020 report. It is not evidence of a current US price, current sales, or present-day delivery options. Treat the customer-reported 62-mile range separately from the 37-mile stated range, and neither as an independently verified real-world result.
